Knowledge Services is seeking a Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a 9 month contract (potential for extension) supporting the State of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. All candidates must be local to the Phoenix area, but will be permitted to work 100% remotely.

Responsibilities
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Responsibilities:
• Participates in Oracle based development projects, including conformance with best practices in Software development life cycle (SDLC); coordinates with business analysts; business subject matter experts and quality assurance staff.
• Fixes and develops changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines.
• Supports production systems; analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner; resolves end user service requests as assigned.
• Participates in Backlog grooming, sprint planning and Daily stand-up meetings.
• Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contributes to completion of functional specifications.
• Prepares technical documentation on application specifications
• Debugs applications and ensures specifications are met before integrating new modules and upgrades into the online production database system.
• Adheres to coding standards and other standard work as laid out for applications development.
• Responds promptly to customer needs; takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments; manages customer expectations
Qualifications
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Required Skills:
• 7 plus years experience as PL/SQL Developer (Oracle 11G/12C), Oracle Forms and Reports (12c), APEX
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject
• Excellent problem-solving skills, experience in working in team environment, preferably Agile Scrum
• Unix Shell scripting, some understanding of Java as team consists of Java and PL/SQL developers
• Experience of using Git, GitHub and Jira
• Data Warehouse experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Create and maintain complex PL/SQL packages spanning multiple schemas. Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements. Extensive Oracle database experience Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities. UNIX Shell scripting Create Java web services and Java EAR files and integrate it with existing Oracle packages. Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans. Perform code reviews and bug fixing. Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages. Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team. Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems. Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team. Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks. UNIX, MS Windows Server experience Use of Oracle, Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSP, Oracle Forms & Reports, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, JBuilder, Pro*C, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux. Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field 8+ years (or commensurate experience) 10 plus years of experience in IT 7-8 years of PL/SQL development experience 3-5 years of Java-related development experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems Work well independently and within a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent time management skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge Must have been within the US for the last 5 years

Infosys is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day to day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC/Plano TX/Pennington NJ/Jersey City NJ/NYC,NY/Jacksonville FL or can work from anywhere in USA initially and be willing to relocate to ANY of these locations within 6 months.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
* Experience in Oracle PL/SQL
* Experience in writing Stored procedures and functions

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 4 years of experience in software design, development and support working in SQL
* Strong SQL skills in Oracle DB
* Good knowledge of Performance tuning
* Good to have data modelling and data mapping skills
* Good to have Unix Shell scripting skills
* Good to have - ETL knowledge- Data stage, Informatica.
* Good to have any data analysis related experience.

* Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
* Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
