This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex voice environments-configuring, maintaining, and optimizing switching platforms that keep our customers connected. You'll take the lead on advanced voice switching operations, while also supporting the design, monitoring, and performance of our Internet, voice, video, and data networks. What You'll Do • Lead configuration, provisioning, testing, and cut-overs for Metaswitch or Class 4/5 switching platforms • Manage translations, routing, trunking, SS7, SBCs, Hosted PBX, POTS, and switching-related operations • Design and commission IP-enabled network infrastructures • Monitor IP, voice, and data network health using industry-standard tools • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning Internet, voice, video, and data services • Serve as a technical escalation point for voice, IP, and wireless delivery systems • Maintain routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and related network equipment What You Bring • Advanced, hands-on experience with Metaswitch or Class 4/5 switching - including PBX/Hosted PBX, Session Border Controllers, POTS, and complex switching configurations • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, SIP, QoS, MPLS, 802.1Q tagging, and related transport protocols • Experience working with multi-vendor systems such as Cisco, Extreme, Adtran, Calix, Metaswitch, Polycom, and Yealink • Proficiency with UNIX, Linux, Windows servers, and tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, iperf, and network-monitoring systems like Cacti or PRTG • Ability to provision, troubleshoot, and support switching, routing, trunking, SS7, transport, and distribution systems Education & Experience Associate degree in Communications Technology, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years' experience in LAN/WAN networking, Central Office transport, IP transport, routing, or network design. Knowledge of Linux, SQL, and TCP/IP engineering required.
