The following provides a detailed description for the position of Group Exercise Instructor (GXI). Actual duties performed may vary slightly. The GXI will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The GXI will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness. GXI will report directly report to Regional Fitness Programming Manager. Essential Duties Pre-class Preparation Arrive at class location 10 to 15 minutes ahead of scheduled start time to be available to interact with members, answer questions, inquire about their fitness progress, introduce and orient new participants. GXI should know their participants on an individual basis and have a good sense of their fitness capabilities. Clothing should be appropriate fitness attire and adhere to COVID-19/CDC guidelines. It should not prohibit participants from seeing proper form, alignment and movement of the body. However, clothing should not be revealing in an inappropriate manner. Proper footwear should be worn at all times. Prepare appropriate music for class. Refrain from using music with offensive language. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and have microphones ready. Participate in events to promote your class format(s) as needed throughout the year (e.g. Senior Fit Socials, etc.) During Class Responsibilities Introduce yourself and the format of the class. Inquire if there are any “first-timers” in the group and if so, assess their fitness level in as private a manner as possible. Make sure all verbal instructions are clear and that the volume, tempo of music and overall atmosphere is conducive to hearing, teaching, learning and having fun. Continually monitor participants to ensure all participants are using correct form. Offer variations of the routine to accommodate all fitness levels. Create a motivational and fun environment for all participants. Additional Responsibilities Make sure that class begins and ends promptly. If necessary, make adjustments to the flow of the class to ensure adherence to the schedule. If the GXI is teaching the last class of the day, please follow proper closing procedures as outlined by the GXD for the individual facility. In the event that a GXI cannot fulfill a scheduled class, it is his/her responsibility to find a qualified/approved substitute and notify the GXD if there is a problem finding a substitute. Housekeepers perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain gym and offices, in a clean and orderly manner. They work under the direction of the Gym Operations Manager. Some of the various duties housekeepers have include: Cleans outside glass Wipes down equipment, doors and floors as necessary Empties trash receptacles daily Sweeps and mops floors/stairwells/staircases Cleans carpets and floors as needed Changes light bulbs as necessary Cleans all fitness equipment, bathrooms (tile, tub, walls and sink), mirrors and glass Dusts furniture and fixtures daily Cleans the management office daily Mops and sweeps lobby floors Cleans the locker room (sweeps, mops, trash removal, dusts, cleans out lint); buffs locker/lobby room floor Maintains and organizes mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners and other equipment/supplies in good condition in designated storage areas Picks up debris on carpet and vacuums carpet Replaces or adds required supplies in locker rooms Stocks carts with linens and supplies and organizes cart as trained and required Cleans vacuum cleaner bags or canister daily Reports maintenance problems in an accurate and timely matter

Facilitates excess inventory returns or interstore pharmacy transfers where applicable for non-returnable ABC overstock. Verifies posting of all pharmacy/ prescription claims. + Completes execution of all pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, and markdowns deletes.
