12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Patient population includes cardiac, vascular, general surgical, and medical ICU cases such as MI, cardiac interventions, post open-heart, respiratory and renal failure, and sepsis
Care for high acuity patients using advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support devices including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ventilators
RN to patient ratios are 1:2 for ICU level, with 1:1 for high acuity cases and 1:3 or 1:4 for overflow patients
Float required within the critical care division or Intermediate Care
Required to work every other weekend
Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
Uses Epic for electronic medical records
Work within a positive, team-focused environment emphasizing high-tech and high-touch patient care
Support available from CNAs, nurse techs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and a rapid response team
Travelers receive a week of orientation including Epic training and a 12-hour shift with a preceptor
Royal blue scrubs required
Free parking is provided onsite
First-time travelers are accepted
Holiday coverage required for 75% of major holidays
Approval required for requested time off

Strong skills in titrating drips, managing post open-heart cases, Swan, temporary pacemakers, and post pulmonary artery thrombectomy procedures

Travelers expected to work scheduled holidays
Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the unit
Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neonates with diverse conditions
Will float to pediatric units as a helping hand unless prior experience in those populations
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurse, RT, intensivist, APPs, residents, IV/VAT/PCVC team, resource nurses, and unit-based educators
Orientation includes facility onboarding and 2 days departmental training
Holiday expectation is to work day of or surrounding days every other holiday while on contract
First-time travelers may be considered with manager approval depending on current staffing
Requirements
Active NC or compact state RN license
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience required
Experience with EPIC EMR is required
Skills required include management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, invasive lines, ventilator/trach management, HOFV, g-tube/j-tube, feeding tubes, chest tubes, sedation/analgesic drip management, foley management, use of EVDs, Camino device, CRRT, and ECMO (ECMO, EVD, ICP, CRRT experience is flexible)
Must be comfortable in a high-acuity, fast-paced NICU environment

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS.
Responsibilities
Position is based in the Operating Room department of a large teaching hospital with 900+ beds
Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center environment
Shift is 10-hour days from 0700 to 1730 with no weekends, holidays, or call required
The OR has 11 rooms and covers all service lines except Neuro and Cardiovascular Thoracic
Patient population includes all ages
Epic EMR is used; Epic experience preferred
DaVinci XI robotic equipment is utilized
No floating required
First-time travelers may be considered with strong OR experience
Supportive department structure with Clinical Supervisors and Charge nurses
Orientation includes facility and two-day departmental training, tailored to experience
Personal scrubs may be worn into and out of the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs required in the OR
Free parking is available for staff
Positive department culture
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of CTICU experience and strong Epic skills.
Responsibilities
Position is in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a large Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital
Unit has 14 beds with an average daily census of 11 patients
Patient population includes post-cardiac surgery, ECMO, OHT, LVAD/RVAD, and Impella device cases
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
Required to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
No on-call required
Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating to adult critical care units as needed
Uses Epic EMR (Epic experience required)
Unit uses ECMO, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, Impella, Alaris pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips/Edwards monitors
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Support available includes a CNA, charge nurse, HUC/receptionist on weekdays, 24/7 IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist
Phlebotomy and resource nurse available as staffing allows
Orientation includes NEO and 3 days unit-based training
Scrub color is navy blue

Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a CTICU at the same acuity level
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Epic EMR experience required

Ability to conduct patient presentations once per shift
