Thomas E. Nugent is a Chief Investment Officer at PlanMember Financial Corp and is based in Charleston, South Carolina. He has worked as Securities Analyst at National Newark and Essex Bank; Senior V.P., Investments at J. & W. Seligman & Co.; and Executive V.P., Marketing at A. B. Laffer Associates. Thomas studied at Seton Hall University between 1959 and 1964 and Rutgers University-Newark between 1966 and 1971.

Hamza Syed joined PlanMember in 2012 as first vice president in charge of the IT group. In 2015 he was promoted to CTO. Hamza Syed has nearly 20 years’ experience in technology, with twelve years in the financial securities industry. Prior to joining PlanMember, Hamza Syed was with LPL Financial in San Diego, California. Hamza Syed holds his series 7 securities license as well as his series 24 principal license. He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree from IIT in Kharagpur, India.

Sean Haley oversees and manages the compliance and regulatory functions for PlanMember Securities Corporation, a broker/dealer and investment advisor, and has worked in the financial services industry since 1996. Prior to joining PlanMember in 2015, Sean Haley served as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for National Planning Corporation from 2005 through 2015. Prior to specializing in compliance in 2000, Sean worked for Edward D. Jones & Co. Sean is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and holds his series 7, 24, 53, and 63 securities licenses.

Prior to joining PlanMember Financial Corporation in 1998, Terry Janeway served as COO and CFO for First Chicago NBD’s Pegasus Funds mutual fund family. Terry Janeway previously served as COO and CFO for First Chicago NBD Investment Services, Inc., a fully disclosed broker/dealer with 225,000 client accounts, and prior to that as Chief Administrative Officer of First Chicago Investment Advisors. Terry Janeway began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., and worked as a senior manager in both the financial services consulting practice and the financial services audit practice. He is a past chairman of the Financial Services Institute’s Operations and Technology Council and has been a frequent speaker at FSI industry meetings. Terry Janeway earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and his Masters of Management Science degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a certified public accountant and holds his series 7, 24, 63, 27 and 53 securities licenses.

Bill Kemble has been a financial professional for over 30 years. Prior to joining PlanMember 10 years ago Bill Kemble worked for the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies building and managing finance organizations for various operating divisions throughout the U.S., Mexico and Europe. Bill Kemble’s experience also includes designing and modeling structured finance solutions and quasi-equity loan structures as a senior treasury advisor in London. Just prior to joining PlanMember, Bill Kemble served as chief financial officer of Shell Solar Industries. Bill Kemble earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, his MBA from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, and is a CFA charterholder.
