LEADERSHIP GIVING OFFICER (LGO), NEW YORK., Resource Development, to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospective donors who are capable of making gifts of $100,000 to $5 million, and in some cases, beyond $5 million. Will manage and build successful fundraising strategies for a portfolio focused on 2.0-4.0 rated prospects and some 1.0 rated prospects in a major market, and possibly micro-market, by creating individualized solicitation plans leading to major gifts in support of MIT's fundraising priorities. Will collaborate with Resource Development and Alumni Association staff, school-based fundraisers, senior Institute officers, faculty, alumni, volunteers, donors, and members of the Corporation Development Committee.

We are currently seeking an Individual Giving Officer to actively build and secure philanthropic support for annual unrestricted, campaign, restricted and endowment revenue. This fundraising professional will be working with early level donor society members to help them see their gifts in action and learn about additional philanthropic opportunities for The Henry Ford over time. Individual Giving Officer will be expected to work on generating leads through their own research as well as grow our existing donor relationships. This position plays a pivotal role in growing THF's family of donors by identifying potential new supporters of the institution to establish a strong pipeline now and for future fundraising opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Works closely with Major Gift Officer and Annual Fund team to build pipeline of $1,000+ gifts that have potential to grow over time with appropriate stewardship and relationship development.
+ Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards primarily local and regional donors for The Henry Ford.
+ Maintains an active suspect pool and prospect pool as defined by the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement.
+ Expected to visit or have "strategic contact" between 12 to 15 prospects/suspects per month with a balanced portfolio that identifies, qualifies, cultivates and stewards donors and donor prospects. Reaching out to new donors and active members, understanding what compels them to give.
+ Tracks all activity with donors and prospects within Institutional Advancement CRM donor database and Raiser's Edge.
+ Develops individual "moves" plans for each prospect and lead within the moves management system.
Position currently working in a hybrid capacity, going into the office for in-person donor visits, events and occasional team needs. Estimated two to three days per week on-site in Dearborn.
Travel may be possible over time to attend donor cultivation events such as car shows, races, or other donor affiliated events.

The Philanthropy Officer works with individuals, families, and family foundations to secure annual gifts of $10,000 and greater and campaign gifts. This involves engaging regular donors to inspire increased operating commitments, new campaign commitments, and planned giving commitments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
