In this role, you'll get to:
Works collaboratively with the CMO, Clinical Services and Quality leadership on quality program initiatives including research and process improvement.
Ensures agency-wide compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations.
Ongoing assessment and guidance in the development/modifications of the quality program.
Monitor flow of information from medical staff committees through to the Medical Leadership Committee and Agency Quality and Risk Committees.
Liaison to medical staff leaders and key internal customers with regard to quality program initiatives in conjunction with the Director of Quality.
Provides leadership with training where needed, establishes guidelines for quality monitoring in conjunction with the Director of Quality.
Responsible for management of Medical and Quality Committee functions, including agenda preparation, minutes preparation, follow up issues, etc.
Accountable for establishing, contributing, and implementation of standards applicable to medical staff members relating to performance improvement and administrative functions, including performance evaluations and observations.
Collaborates with Clinical Services and Quality and Health Center Operations leadership to identify and respond to issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
Researches and recommends strategies and best practices and assists with the implementation of programs to increase patient care quality and patient experience.
Consults with various departments, health center leadership and committees on the design, structure and implementation of quality improvement programs.
Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams focused upon the implementation of quality improvement initiatives designed to improve patient care and safety; consults on the redesign of systems and processes.
Assists with the development of training programs for staff on selected quality improvement tools, methods, and techniques.
Actively participate in the quality metric review process, and work with providers and health centers on improving performance to achieve desired results.
Acts as the content and technical subject matter expert to the health center leaders for key project initiatives including the development of detailed work plans, facilitating root cause analysis, identifying and socializing process enhancements, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring/summarizing project progress for quality improvement projects.
Supports medical case review across health centers and providers.

The Security and Logistics Officer provides high-level customer service and security support across PPPSW's operational region. This role is responsible for the safe transport of medical samples and medications from designated health centers to the in-house laboratory, while also supporting emergency response efforts and security operations.
The Security and Logistics Officer helps maintain safe and welcoming environments for patients, visitors, and staff, and serves as the Agency's representative and liaison with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.In this role, you'll get to:
Complete in-house incident reports thoroughly and efficiently.
Proficient in all of PPPSW's warning system color codes and required procedures.
Participates in security response actions in accordance with established protocol for a variety of security-related situations.

Perform regular inspections and cleaning of company vehicles by use of the company's carwash passes and supplies.
Serve as a liaison to local law enforcement and maintain contacts for emergency purposes.
Address any concerns with police departments regarding the safety of PPPSW facilities or events.
Serves as a representative on behalf of PPPSW for criminal prosecutions in a court of law, as necessary.
Ensure radios and advanced communications equipment are functioning and readily available for emergencies.
Troubleshoots as needed security equipment, including alarm panels, panic devices, access control, and surveillance systems.
Independently conducts site surveys and equipment audits, among other tasks, at the direction of the Regional Security Manager.
Ensure pertinent information is communicated promptly and effectively surrounding incidents to management and key stakeholders.

Schedule: 4/10 work week which includes one weekend day.
Intermediate level position responsible for all supporting functions in the delivery of reproductive health care, primary care and/or surgical services. Assist patients by providing testing, screening, and assisting patients both pre and post-surgical procedures which is required for the provision of medical reproductive health care. Works alongside providers to ensure high quality, efficient delivery of care. Ability to triage patients, prepare exam rooms and assist the providers before, during, and after all medical procedures including surgical abortion services up to 23.6 weeks. Provides non-judgmental, empathetic care for patients.

Qualifications
Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school/program or Medical Assistant Certification by a certifying organization approved by the Medical Board of California required.
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or General Educational Development “GED” required.
Minimum Work Experience:
1 -2 years' experience in clinical setting preferred.
Recent experience performing blood draws and injections desirable.
Reproductive, managed/primary health care and/or abortion services experience desirable.
Language Requirements/Preference:
Some positions require bilingual skills (reading, writing, and speaking). If required, candidate will be tested for proficiency prior to offer.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.
Adhere to agency's policies, procedures and protocols. This may include successfully completing agency, regional and/or state certification requirements.
Independently perform and/or coordinate the following back-office functions:
Effectively communicates with Licensed Provider any and all information regarding patient disclosure of violence, abuse or unsafe living situations during patient interactions.
Perform injections and blood draws following the California code of regulations.
Perform and record basic lab work (Hgb, pregnancy tests, urine dipsticks, rapid HIV, etc).
Process specimens for external lab tests.
Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight, etc).
Clean and sterilize equipment, stock exam rooms.
MA only patient visits.
Obtain patient medical history.
Schedule appointments and refers patients for follow-up medical services including abortion services.
Assist and support the clinical staff in the:
The provision of contraceptives, including inventory management.
The provision of primary care services including performing EKG, pulse oximeter, A1C test, including but not limited to assisting with procedures as directed by Provider.
The provision of abortion services such as but not limited to:
Performs a variety of tasks in the laboratory including, but not limited to assisting in analyzing products of conception up to 23.6 weeks.
Assist physician during procedures providing ultrasound guidance for patients up to 23.6 weeks.
Provide patient care by:
Pre-procedure: connecting to EKG, B/P, and pulse oximeter.
Post-procedure: transporting to recovery room, wiping and cleaning bodily fluids.
Comply with infection control, safety and emergency guidelines.
Work to ensure patient satisfaction. Establish rapport with patient, remaining cognizant of and responsive to needs for medical and educational care delivered in a professional, expedient manner.
Prepare center for opening and secure for closing, as required.
Non-Essential Functions:
Keep current on relevant anatomy and physiology, methods of contraception, STIs, pregnancy, adoption, early prenatal care, education techniques, community resources, agency protocols, referral procedures, and all Planned Parenthood programs.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Health Center Manager or designee. These may include occasionally needed specialized services such as services for developmentally disabled clients and specialized patient education programs.
Other duties as assigned.

This role is a contract position and is meant to compliment your current practice. A typical partnership will involve treating patients on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis.
Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in the management of medically complex patients, expedite return to work and functional restoration. Working collaboratively with medical and therapy providers, you will provide specialist services, both non-surgical and surgical, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work related injuries. In addition, you will communicate with employers and take an active role in the case management.
