Identify, address and report upon issues with the potential to effect scope, progress, quality or cost. * Develop and plan Outage scope and support centralized TAR team to deliver TAR work scope. * Maintain the asset work history data in the maintenance management system to enable effective planning. * Plan and prepare work to ensure full KPI compliance requirements and no overdue statutory items. * Prepare and analyze metric reports and applicable maintenance process performance KPIs. * Record, track and monitor craft headcount and capacities to ensure adequate schedule loading on a weekly basis. * Work with the Asset teams, managers, and others to develop work-around schedules to alleviate forecasted impacts to the critical path activities. * Work closely with others involved in the maintenance work process to handle schedule breaks that are approved. * Perform review of drafted weekly schedule to optimize the use of site maintenance shared resource groups. The incumbent is responsible for effectively researching equipment issues, walking down jobs and projects, ordering materials, working with station personnel to develop comprehensive work packages. **Essential Duties/ Responsibilities** + Plans, and schedules maintenance and construction work in order to insure its timely return to service + Works with Mobile Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Planners and Tooling Coordinators to create complete job packages + Ensures that ALL maintenance work is planned and Job Packages include (time estimates, skills requirements, materials, drawings, Safety Information, procedures, specifications, etc.) + Provides safety training for employees and ensures compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulations + Facilitates job package library, including enhancing packages with feedback from crews and supervisors + Ensures compliance with all applicable QA/QC requirements + Ensures the NRG maintenance process and work management principles and practices are followed + Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short and long range planning + Develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals + Implements effective problem solving analysis while maintaining collaborative working relationships with all employees + Establishes the highest standards of business conduct, discipline, and ethical behavior to ensure continuing compliance with company policies and procedures + Knowledge of safety procedures and how to incorporate them into work management including, LOTO, hot work, and barricades + Strong ability to troubleshoot power plant equipment issues + Expert knowledge of work management processes + Strong CMMS knowledge in work management and procurement processes (SAP preferred) + Solid ability to write and organize technical work packages + Experience in contractor management and control, including job scopes, site training, notification letters, and site contacts + Preventive Maintenance (PM) program knowledge and ability to utilize a CMMS to manage the PM program (SAP preferred) + Understanding of Predictive Maintenance results and how to apply those to work management + Knowledge of work scheduling processes and tools and their integration with work planning (PaSTA preferred) + General purchasing process experience - including items like vendor contacts, services, and capabilities + General knowledge of budgeting processes and its integration with work management (PowerSAM knowledge preferred - this is a specific NRG tool) + Ability to create and update Intelex tasks, including legal requirements and permits (this is a specific NRG tool) **Minimum Requirements** + Ten years experience as a project scheduler utilizing Primavera Project Planner project scheduling software, strongly preferred + Minimum of Baccalaureate degree in an Engineering or Business or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience in a related field. **Additional KSAs** + Logical, organized thinking abilities + Solid oral communication and technical writing skills + Possess interpersonal skills to drive results; ability to create and maintain working relationships + Ability to organize and lead meetings related to work management + Ability to facilitate and coordinate plant and corporate work groups **_Please Note: Salary offered will be commensurate with the successful candidate's education and/or experience and consistent with the job location's market pay rate._** NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
