The Warehouse Planner is responsible for coordinating and releasing customer orders to the warehouse for efficient and accurate fulfillment. This role ensures all orders are correctly prepared in the system, labelled according to customer requirements, and released to the warehouse floor with the appropriate picking documentation.
The position requires strong computer literacy, excellent attention to detail, and solid administrative skills to manage and monitor order flow within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Key Responsibilities
Order Planning & Release
Plan and release incoming customer orders provided by the Back Office department.
Review and validate order details before release to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Prioritize and schedule orders according to deadlines and operational capacity.
Labelling Matrix & Verification
Review the labelling matrix to confirm that customer-specific labelling and packaging requirements are correctly applied.
Communicate with Back Office and Warehouse teams to resolve any discrepancies or missing data before processing.
System Processing (D365)
Process orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to ensure they are ready for warehouse picking.
Generate and issue picking lists to the warehouse floor.
Monitor order progress in the system and maintain real-time visibility of order status.
Wave Management
Create, release, and manage picking waves in D365.
Distribute workloads efficiently across warehouse zones to optimize productivity.
Reprocess and adjust waves as needed to meet changing priorities or delivery cut-offs.
Administrative Oversight & Coordination
Maintain an overview of all order flow from release to dispatch.
Ensure all data entered and processed in the system is accurate and up to date.
Provide reports or updates to management regarding order volume, delays, or system issues.
Liaise between Back Office, Warehouse, and Dispatch to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse planning, logistics coordination, or related roles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or Manhattan WMS is a strong advantage.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, ERP/WMS systems).
Exceptional attention to detail-accuracy of information and data integrity are essential.
Strong administrative and organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of warehouse workflows, order prioritization, and wave planning.
Familiarity with label compliance and customer-specific order requirements.

+ Ensuring all key assumptions and business driving actions are maintained in the forecasting horizon of 18-24 months, including promotions, events, POG's, discontinued and new products.
+ Problem solving the highest causes of error by researching error, determining root cause, and driving for improvement.
+ Supporting growth and innovation as a thought leader on developing, monitoring, and changing of the demand plan.
**Other Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Operating as a change agent working collaboratively with the supply chain teams/ sales on priority initiatives that optimize service, inventory, and cost for the total value chain.
+ Identifies opportunities for improvement, makes constructive suggestions for change and drive for results.

Who are we looking for?
As a Buyer/Planner in our manufacturing environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operations by procuring inventory and making purchases through material requirements planning (MRP) processes. * Evaluate supplier performance and report on time delivery for critical suppliers, maintain vendor relationships, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

* Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality engineer to ensure supplier's performance is acceptable
* Approve purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, follow up on purchase order acknowledgement, and ensure on-time delivery. Regularly check Open Order Report and communicate delays or issues to supervisor.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with production teams, logistics, quality assurance, sourcing, and finance to align Buyer/Planner activities with production schedules and organizational goals.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding material availability, delivery status, and potential supply chain disruptions.
* Actively participate in meetings, provide insights, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and performance.
* Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance procurement processes and optimize resource utilization.

Qualifications:
* Experience: 8 years minimum working in a relevant project planning role.
* Knowledge of Connecticut grant programs, policies and initiatives related to job responsibilities
* Knowledge and experience with project management software.
* Knowledge and experience with master plans, including Plans of Conservation and Development (POCDs), coastal resilience, hazard mitigation, and climate adaptation projects.

The Planner's primary responsibility is to review sales order demand across multiple products and collaborate with Production, Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Component Operations, and Engineering to establish achievable schedule dates. You will be responsible for data analysis, documenting project compliance with environmental laws, and client communication throughout project phases
Managing large projects, often with interesting and complex environmental permitting components
Working with GZA staff and coordinating with clients to scope, submit, support, and interface with regulators on projects that may include environmental permits such as MADEP NOI, 401, 404, PNF, MEPA, Chapter 91, etc..
Preparing environmental impact reports and land use permit applications. Compiling and managing information from multiple disciplines and propose technical solutions
Coordinating with regulatory authorities throughout a project
Organizing and hosting community outreach and education events
Collaborating and communicating with clients and the community, creating and delivering presentations and reports
Assisting in field evaluations and informational site walks to support the above work
Responsible for preparing and managing budgets along with client invoices
Leading and/or contributing to project proposals
Preparing and/or reviewing GIS produced maps and other project data visualizations. Occasional travel within southern New England is expected

What You Will Be Bringing:
Bachelor's degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related discipline. Master's degree is preferred
5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting or public service field with an emphasis in permit preparation and representation
Certification or working towards AICP, CFM or CEP certifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise letters, memoranda, technical reports, proposals, and figures
The base salary for this position may range between $96,000.00 to $118,000.00. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.

Job Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' goals, risk tolerance, and life stages, including all aspects of a client's life - retirement planning, cash flow, investments, equity compensation, tax, education, employee benefits, insurance, estate planning, etc.
