Coordinate with other staff, area transportation providers, users and other interested parties to refine and implement Transit's established and/or pilot programs.Identify and recommend best practices for service deployment options. (55%) Report and analyze daily operations to assist in operations planning. Provide monthly ridership, reveneu, system monitoring reports, on-going trend analysis for each route, performance compared to Transit Industry standards and metrics Analyze and report on special transit programming for K-10 Connector, Micro Transit, RideKC Freedom, Swift, Mental Health and others. Resarch and provide optimal fare recommendations by service type. Provide strategic analysis and reporting for pilot programs to determine and develop recommendations for future operations. (20%) Negotiate, facilitate and mediate in the planning, development and implementation of passenger amenity improvements in local municipalities. Work with local cities and KCATA to obtain zoning and permits for proposed improvement and facilities Investigate and seek to resolve customer complaints with passenger amenities and other service quality issues for demand responsive service. Collaborate with the County Legal Department to develop Interlocal Agreements for park and ride lots, acquistion of property necessary for deployment of long-term leases. (15%) Participates in training and special projects; participates in project related team meetings and assists in financial decisions and problem resolution; disseminates and implements department and countywide policies; seeks and participates in opportunities for involvement and coordination with countywide initiatives, workgroups, and committees and collaborates with departments and agencies; troubleshoots program and project related issues and recommends solutions. (10%) Job Requirements Required:Bachelor's degree in Regional Or Urban Planning, or Public Administration, or relevant field is required. Two years of local or regional transportation planning experience is required Valid driver's license. Understanding of Federal Transit Administration regulations and Negotiation skills in regards to conflict resolution and collaboration.is also required. Preferred: Master's degree in Regional or Urban Planning, Public Administration, Management or Business Administration or relevant field is preferred. ACIP certifcation is preferred.
