Provide support to shipping department to schedule trucks according to production completion times and confirms order readiness with Shipping Department to ensure on-schedule shipments.Communicates with Customer Service Representatives and shipping department regarding customer orders and expected ready times, dates, and changes. Project Management Division

JOB LOCATION : Maumee, Ohio Preferred but not required

REPORTS TO : Department Manager, Project Controls
POSITION SUMMARY
Matrix is seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler (P/S) to join our Project Controls team. The P/S will assist Project Managers (PM) as requested with the planning, scheduling, earned value and maintenance of projects. In addition, the P/S will assist department management (DM) in the performance of departmental duties related to budgeting, planning, scheduling, earned value and process improvement. This position will support engineering and EPC projects in a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, and Manufacturing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with PMs with the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), task code assignment and budgeting (e.g. Deltek budget entry). Develop and maintain proposal and project schedules, as defined by PMs. Develop and maintain project plans, project reports, customer reports, etc., as requested by PMs. As assigned by DM, assist with the training and development of others with regard to job cost, planning, scheduling, earned value and other project related activities. As assigned by DM, assist with departmental needs consistent with skills required above.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in business and/or engineering related field
Other Requirements:
Must currently live near one of our offices, or willing and able to relocate to one. Five years of experience in an engineering or related environment Thorough working knowledge of current Microsoft Windows environment, including Project, Word, Excel and Access Three years of experience with Microsoft Project scheduling software and/or PrimaVera 6 software is required Must be able to travel locally (up to 50%) and overnight (up to 20%)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
