Possess a detailed knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration to develop detailed concepts commensurate with presentation at the three and four star level. Additionally, the planner should be able to relate those concepts into detailed executable plans and create Time Phased Force Deployment Data to support mobilization of assets. Demonstrated leadership skills are required; the contractor will lead various workgroups pursuant to OPLAN development and be expected to lead peers and military superiors in analysis and military decision making. Planner will quantify life support requirements and translate these into estimates for submission to engineering planners. The Planner may be required to support numerous simultaneous requirements and ensure that personnel are available to provide adequate representation to the command during times of high operational tempo (OPTEMPO). Plan/coordinate logistics support for OPLANS and exercises affecting the current and long-range operations. The Planner will prepare logistics estimates and other products to provide required logistics supply, service, and other life support for OPLAN development. Attend, participate, and support the planning and execution of conferences and exercises in support of JCS and USCENTCOM Operational planning. Possesses a functional understanding of the JOPES and monitors OPLAN/exercise data requirements necessary to formulate and submit TPFDD information, meeting applicable deadlines. Provide direct support to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on OPLAN and exercise design activities.
