Stay up-to-date with changes in building codes and regulations and apply them to your reviews. Maintain accurate records of reviews, correspondence, and project progress. Collaborate with the inspection team to ensure a seamless process from plan review to project completion. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in building code plan review or a related field. Certification as a Plans Examiner or the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment (preferred: ICC or Florida Board of Building Code Administrators). Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code, including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy provisions. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, including blueprints and specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and permitting software (preferred). This is a remote position.

This role involves collaborating with contractors, engineers, and various local and state officials to ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and within regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of OSP telecommunications construction, a strong understanding of OSP engineering prints, and a passion for helping others **This is a safety sensitive position.** **What You'll Do:** + Collaborate with contractors and engineers to review and correct work prints + Conduct pre-construction site walks with contractors to assess the constructability of projects + Identify potential issues and provide recommendations to ensure smooth project execution + Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations per the permit approval documents + Oversee OSP construction projects upon delivery from OSP Engineering and Permitting to completion + Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during construction + Review permits received. Check work prints and wording of permits for requirements of others as to the impact on the project + Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. + Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, including any delays or issues encountered + Maintain detailed records of all changes and ensure timely updates to project documentation + This position will require travel to various construction sites- 50-80% travel. **Do You Have?** + College degree in Engineering or a related field and 0-2 years professional level experience; or 4+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation + Ability to easily discern colors on the color work prints + High School Degree or GED equivalent + Strong understanding of OSP engineering prints and the ability to interpret and correct them + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to help and guide others + Ability to conduct detailed site walks and identify potential construction challenges + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously **Even Better:** + Experience in engaging with counties, townships, EMCs (Electric Membership Corporations), DOT, and tribal authorities to navigate regulatory requirements once the permits have been obtained by OSP Engineering and the Permit Team **.** + Extensive experience in OSP telecommunications construction. + Experience working with local and state officials, including obtaining permits and ensuring regulatory compliance would be a plus + Four years or more of any of the following: Communications construction, Field Operations, or OSP Engineering.
