What will you do? Review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction, and in the development of the future UxV requirements and acquisition documents. Provide engineering support as requested by the-customer to support technical and project decisions and maintain technical configuration control. Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms. Perform engineering studies leading to the allocation of UxV attributes to UxV systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement. Perform design and engineering studies to identify the degree of UxV systems integration required to meet the mission requirements. Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs in the form of technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, reports, etc. Provide technical assistance with UxV design, and integration, related to subject areas including machinery, hull form, hull strength, propulsion, electrical systems, auxiliary systems, hydrodynamics, sea keeping and survivability, stability, structures, arrangements, habitability, outfitting, lifesaving and mooring systems, cargo handling systems, unmanned systems, aviation, C4I, combat systems, autonomy, computer science, electronics and other technical areas as necessary. Review and analysis as requested of the developing design to ensure that the UxV is functionally balanced and integrated in terms of distribution and location of functions, seaworthiness, mission suitability (effectiveness, survivability), and performance.
