Job Summary
The Steam Plant Manager will be a key member of the Seattle team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is responsible for all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the steam plant. The Steam Plant Manager will maintain adequate staffing, tools, equipment, and spare parts to support continuous operations, while providing effective leadership and strategic planning to achieve business and performance objectives.

Core Responsibilities
Provides first line management and supervision for all plant supervisory and maintenance personnel.
Oversee the implementation of strategic plans, programming, and steam plant production strategies, to ensure the reliable and economic delivery of steam to customers.
Plan and organize all facets of the day-to-day operations to meet short- and long-range goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and company policies and operating procedures.
Ensures that operation and maintenance activities generally conform to fiscal, budgetary, planning objectives and assist with the development of budgets and/or capital planning.
Supervise plant personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance and repairs of associated infrastructure systems, such as water supply, natural gas, electrical, steam and condensate.
Assist in the creation of short and long-term operating plans that include projections for fuel, electricity, and water use, maintenance plans, and capital plans.
Analyzes department operations, implements and executes optimized economic operating plans, and makes recommendations for significant operational improvements as appropriate.
Oversee the implementation of safety and environmental programs, to include training and reporting, to ensure departmental compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Responsible for the management of outside vendors and contractors
Participates in the development of objectives and policies designed to maximize efficiency and economy in the operation of equipment and production services.
Oversee the implementation of major and minor renovation, renewal, and capital projects.
May serve on various company planning and policy making committees.
Partner with HR to ensure that the CBA is followed.
May be required to travel for training and/or other company business. This includes travel by private automobile, commercial airlines, and other public transportation.
Will be required to effectively interface with regulatory, business and customer representatives consistent with CenTrio corporate objectives.
May be required to operate company equipment (e.g. forklift)
May be required to perform other duties and projects as directed.
Professional Experience & Knowledge:
Experienced in working with district energy systems preferred

City of Seattle Steam Engineer's license or the demonstrated ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
Bachelor's degree, High School diploma or GED Equivalent, and a minimum of 5-years of full-time supervisory experience within a steam plant
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Skilled in capital, operations, and maintenance planning.
Employee development and performance management skills.
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, with reference to work orders, preventive maintenance, inventory control, and equipment history.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in tight spaces and elevated positions: twisting, turning, bending, and holding arms at / above the head are all common movements; able to lift up to 100lbs;
Must be able to clearly see and differentiate all colors
Must be able to maintain standard threshold of hearing to safely perform job duties
Must have good eyesight, hearing and manual dexterity

What you'll do:
- Provide leadership and guidance to stores in order to ensure that district sales and profit goals are achieved.

Essential Job Duties:

- Visit all district stores regularly and conduct inspections to ensure that Petco policies, procedures and merchandising programs are observed, and ensure that all new policies and procedures are properly implemented on a timely basis.
- Recruit, train, develop and manage Store Management to ensure that stores are adequately staffed at all times and succession plans are appropriately maintained for District/Regional needs.
- Within the guidelines of Guest Care orientation, ensure that all associates are properly trained to provide outstanding customer service, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Provide counsel to Store Managers, to include personnel issues, store events, problem solving, crisis intervention, etc. and foster open communications with store personnel and the community through periodic newsletters, store promotions, etc.
- Plan and set individual as well as store goals, and track the progress of each to ensure that objectives are met.
- Conduct regular visits to competitor locations and report observed changes in prices, operations, policies, etc. to the appropriate levels of management.
- Conduct regular audits of store paperwork, including bank deposit slips, overages/shortages, etc. and track trends to ensure that cash control procedures are in place and observed.
- Ensure that all stores within their district are aware of company directed Shrink reduction initiatives and comply with Asset Protection programs.
- Coordinate new store openings and existing store remodels, and facilitate the prompt repair of store equipment as required.
- Ensure that all store paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner and that all correspondence with Corporate is directed to the proper departments.
- Process and forward documentation to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to and promote through instruction established safety procedures.
- Monitor merchandise levels in all district stores and coordinate the balance of stock between stores to ensure that inventory levels are adequate. Audit quarterly and annual physical inventory counts for accuracy and to detect merchandise allocation problems. Follow-up on Regional Inventory Manager recommendations to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Complete semi-annual performance evaluations and annual merit increase recommendations for all Store Managers in a district and submit them to the Regional Manager for approval.
- Ensure employee reviews are administered prior to due dates.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Job duties entail primary responsibility for training and developing Store Managers and store personnel at all levels in the absence of the manager, including assignment delegation, instruction and follow-through. The District General Manager is required to approve performance evaluations for all store employees and to provide guidance in the form of progressive discipline, whenever necessary, in accordance with established procedures. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the District General Manager to communicate all situations and/or conditions that affect the district (i.e., customer complaints/requests, inadequate inventory levels, unemployment hearings, etc.) with the appropriate level of management or department. Work Environment: The District General Manager position requires that quality time be spent traveling between stores, sometimes several hundred miles per week. There may be risk of injury resulting from improper procedures while assisting customers and store personnel.

Responsibilities
Meet or exceed location revenue goals and other KPIs: Manage the front and back of shop from vehicle intake through delivery to ensure a high level of shop throughput, production quality and efficiency, such that the location meets or surpasses KPIs
Labor assignment and production management: Responsible for assigning repair jobs to Body Technicians and prioritizing vehicles for teardown or paint

Manage daily production flow: Communicate with team (Body Technicians, Collision Estimator, Parts Managers) to ensure production is moving as needed to meet delivery requirements
Write DRP complaint estimates (as needed): Write complete estimates after full disassembly and damage discovery, update CE's estimates as needed, and lock final estimates

* Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy REQUIRED
* Experience working for or with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies. Deep functional expertise in one of more of the following areas:

The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a dual role in overseeing assembly operations and driving manufacturing innovation. This individual has strong mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals, prototyping skills, product development experience, and the ability to read/interpret engineering diagrams. This individual has a hands-on approach to improving assembly and production processes, integrating Lean Manufacturing principles, and ensuring quality in Sterlitechs assembled products and skid mounted filtration systems. In addition to managing daily production of the Subassemblies and Systems Department, this role leads process improvement initiatives, evaluates new manufacturing technologies, and supports R&D efforts. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to enhancing operational efficiency.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Leadership, Management, and Accountability
Lead and support a small team of production assemblers, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
Guide team members and provide coaching and on-the-job training.
Perform assembly, troubleshooting, and basic equipment maintenance as a working technician.
Monitor team adherence to safety protocols and address process issues and safety concerns quickly.
Develop and execute production goals, action plans, and strategies to meet demand and deadlines.
Establish priorities and sequences for assembled products and skid fabrication.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Manufacturing Engineeringand R&D
Works closely with Engineering to test and integrate new product designs into production.
Participates in prototyping, pilot runs, and validation of new products.
Provides feedback to the engineering team on design improvements for manufacturability and scalability.
Identifies new components, tools, and techniques that can enhance product performance and ease of production.
Create, update, and manage Bills of Materials, Work Instructions, and SOPs
Quality & Compliance
Monitor and improve KPIs for quality, efficiency, and safety.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly issues.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a liaison between production, engineering, and leadership to align goals.
Act as technical support for customers when needed, with the potential opportunity to travel for service visits
Provide regular updates on production status, challenges, and improvements.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree Chemical or Env. Engineering preferred
2+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership
Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization
Ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and CAD
Willingness to travel if needed
