About You Required: Bachelor's degree with 0+ years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 3+ years client service and/or claims management experience. This role is responsible for ensuring the plant meets its production, quality, safety, and financial objectives while cultivating a strong team environment. Lead the cross-functional senior plant leadership team to meet requirements as identified by the master production schedule. Reports major concerns and issues to the executive, which may cause deviation from the master schedule. Develop and maintain operational budgets for each functional production department as well as the general plant. Obtain and review budget results with budget owners on a monthly basis, identify deviations and ensure corrective actions are taken. Develop the yearly capital budget for the facility. Review all capital requirements for benefits and return on investment. Authorize all capital requests prior to submitting to the executive for review. Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems, improve product quality, and improve flow using the appropriate lean tools. Consult and review with other functional areas of the organization on issues which will alter current operational conditions. Ensure the appropriate actions are taken once issues have been identified in order to eliminate disruption of production output. Review and maintain staffing levels to meet desired production output while maintaining targeted efficiency goals. Through the Manufacturing Engineering department ensure upcoming contracts are reviewed for equipment requirements and operational changes. Ensure appropriate actions are implemented to reduce operational disruption. Provide timely reporting on current operating conditions and concerns which may have a material impact on meeting the delivery schedule. Prepare, on a weekly basis, an operational overview for the scheduled fabrication senior leadership meeting. Along with the Quality Assurance Department, develop and implement process and procedural changes to further enhance the quality of the product produced. Promote the identification of training requirements. Review and develop programs to meet operational requirements both short-term and long-term. Ensure continual development of the management staff to meet the changing facility needs. Remain current with industry and production technologies in order to advance the manufacturing process within the facility. Ensure all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over Financial Reporting. Ensure proper care of the plant facilities to avoid any disruption to daily operations. Provide coaching and mentoring for staff and conduct performance evaluations. Demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and sensitivity when dealing with staff, team members and colleagues. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field 10+ years of experience in a senior production leadership position. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership and people management skills. As a Food Safety & Quality Manager, you'll: Lead the site-wide technical functions, serving as the subject matter expert for food safety and quality. Manage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain site BRC accreditation. Provide guidance on equipment suitability, hygienic design, and validation of cleaning methods. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve quality metrics, and enhance site performance. Oversee internal and external laboratory testing and ensure compliance with audit schedules. Manage and mentor the quality team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on quality, cost, and delivery. What skills and experience do I need for this role? A minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality/technical role within the food and/or drinks industry. Minimum 2 Years in a Management role HACCP Level 3 certification and a Food Hygiene Certificate. Experience with microbiology/laboratory testing, including creating testing suites, interpreting, and validating results. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels. Demonstrable experience in driving continuous improvement and managing quality projects.
