Coordinate activities of all manufacturing functional areas to assure continuity towards plant goals, communicating priorities as necessary. Develop SOP's for all production processes.

Develop and track annual operating budget for measurement towards objectives.
Maintain and improve the quality of the plant assets, both current and fixed.
Develop and improve technical and manufacturing management skills at the plant..
Develop and implement performance standards for all supervisors maintaining current job descriptions and improvement plans.
Establish appropriate scheduling and employee work schedules in line with customer orders and plant performance requirements.
Work with Purchasing to establish quality specifications for incoming raw materials, monitoring these raw materials to ensure that specifications are met.
With Quality/ R&D, develop new products/processes and improve current products/processes. Establish procedures and supervise all experimental and test runs, reporting all results.
Manage inventory of off-spec materials, including the scheduling and reworking of products as needed.
Responsible for maintaining formulation data system including entering all new product formulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years previous management experience in a food grade operation.
Background in dairy, evaporators, and/or drying technologies
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent knowledge of plant operation procedures and business system software applications.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Previous supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or industrial production.
7+ years manufacturing engineering experience in automotive or heavy industrial production, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong background in machining (turning, grinding, broaching) and heat treat operations.
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
Proficient with CAD/CAM, CNC programming fundamentals, and industrial automation concepts.
Knowledge of metallurgy, GD&T, and precision measurement tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Industrial Engineer or equivalent degree preferred.

The Plant Director is responsible for all safety, quality, delivery, cost and people aspects at the Broken Bow, NE facility. This position leads all phases of the Broken Bow manufacturing operations in such a way as to provide the highest quality products at competitive price levels.
About the role:
The site Director will ensure all plant activities with special emphasis to ensure both regulatory and quality compliance and that policies and procedures are in place to meet corporate, business, country and customer policies, directive, standards and expectations (FDA compliance, ISO certification, OSHA, EPA, etc).
The site Director will lead and inspire a cross functional leadership team establishing an end to end, growth and continuous improvement mindset. It is the Director's responsibility for setting high standards for all associates regarding the performance of their duties related to ethical conduct and compliance. This role has full responsibility for establishing and achieving safety, quality and cost objectives, capacity planning, production schedule attainment, productivity with a pipeline, efficiency improvements, and the development and management of annual budget and financial performance. This role is responsible for all the capital investment and implementation projects at the Broken Bow plant. The Plant Director is responsible for promoting the culture of BD Excellence, a continuous improvement based on a zero-loss mindset and people engagement.
This role represents the plant as appropriate at all regional and local authorities. Regular and consistent onsite attendance and visibility along with excellent and effective communication skills from the operator to executive are essential.
Ability to read, write and converse in English is required.

Key responsibilities will include:
Site strategy: provide leadership and visionary concepts for development of strategies for the site that support business goals and objectives with a zero-loss mindset.

Ensure respect of all national, regional or local policies, procedures and other permitting process as it relates to facility and construction management.
EHS compliance: promote & maintain awareness and compliance of Environment Health and Safety rules and regulation in accordance with best practice and legal requirement. Direct the establishment of the yearly budgets and goals for all activities within each department. Communicate, monitor and control the budgets throughout the planned period, to ensure goals are met and variances are controlled. Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the Broken Bow plant activity per company policy
Represent Broken Bow plant: as Director of Broken Bow plant ensure proper representation of the plant in all legal, tax and any regulatory affairs as it concerns plant. Ensure that the proper image of the plant and BD is established and maintained locally. Develop and implement the required action plan and strategy to build and maintain the plant and BD image within the community at local or regional level as well as part of the required professional or political organizations.
Partners and works closely with central functions such as Global Engineering, BD Excellence Continuous Improvement and Global Supply Chain to establish and achieve production capacity objectives for the plant. Ensures capacity ramp up plans, products and/or technology projects are performed on time.
Responsible for the overall quality of the products manufactured at Broken Bow Plant, ensure that products meet the customer/business specifications and requirements, ensure that audits are run in an optimal manner and ensure that all CAPA are defined, captured and completed as promised. Promote and lead a culture of Quality within the plant. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
