Outlook Group is looking for a highly skilled Narrow Web Flexo Printing Press Operator to join our team as a Utility Operator and help us run the quality labels we are known for. This person will set up and run multiple Narrow Web Flexo Mark Andy and MPS Presses. Outlook Group prints pressure-sensitive labels, peel and reseal labels and also variable data labels. As a Utility Operator, part of your responsibility will be to set up the press, ensure the job is running properly and check quality throughout the run of printing labels. If you are an experienced Label Press Operator and are driven to work with other great people and take pride in what you do, we want you!
You will be working with custom product packaging and printing labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, and fulfillment in several industries such as food and beverage, personal care, and consumer healthcare.
We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts:
2nd shift: Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm
3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am
Qualified applicants will have:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating a Narrow Web Flexographic Press
Experience operating a Mark Andy machine is a bonus

Responsible for the filling, sending, receiving, and recording of materials within the facility
Prepare orders for delivery by filling containers with specified material and amounts
Acquire empty containers and organize filled containers with use of a forklift
Participate in the rework of materials by transferring material from filled containers to process tanks and refilling when complete
Visually inspect containers and tanks for cleanliness before filling
Daily monitoring of production floor to maintain a clean and safe work environment during shift
Perform other related duties as assigned by shift supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

The pay range for this position is $22 - $23.50 per hour . Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Overnights: 2-2-3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days & off 3 days) every two weeks you will be schedule to work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the other.
Responsible for assisting with the overall safe, efficient and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment daily, based on company standards. Ensure that quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within the established guidelines. Work as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently. Keep blending equipment sanitized. Maintain and monitor water systems and waste water disposal. Monitor all production to ensure lotion requirements are met.
Essential Functions:
Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements
Understands and is accountable for the following: all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning standards and guidelines
Train and blend in all the tank farms.
Understand and perform to the Tufco LP Quality System, Customer's Quality Process Standards and / or Specification Requirements.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleaning activities per our Process Rounds of change parts, portable totes, drums and environment to ensure quality and operational requirements are met daily.
Perform cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and blending areas.
Troubleshoot Processing System problems as needed, take appropriate corrective actions, and know when to call for assistance.
Work with production lines when weekly line sanitizations are performed.
Treat wastewater streams.
Trained and qualified to safely operate a forklift and powered pallet jack.
Trained and qualified to unload tanker trucks.
Trained and qualified to perform work on the following laboratory equipment for solution testing: (Including calibration)
pH meter - pH levels
Chlorine meter - Chlorine levels
Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data recorded in Quality Windows and Out-of-Specification (OOS) variable/attribute testing when necessary.
Place all non-conforming items on hold using Tufco's Hold/Reject process.
Assist in the root cause determination, corrective action taken, and documentation process.
Comply with all processes and procedures for all applicable regulatory agencies.
Proper handling and disposal of chemicals and understanding the GHS codes
Understand and comply with all lockout/tag-out procedures.
Perform cycle counting to ensure that inventory records match the physical count and collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain proper stocking and organization of inventory.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Proficiency with computers and calculators
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

What will I do in this role?

Follow press operator's instructions (
