Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf cars. Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers. Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range. Advises Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found. Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment. The Operations Technician assists in the safe and efficient operation of the power plant and the supporting equipment and systems. Carries out all routine HRSG/water chemistry analysis, equipment inspections, monitors operating components, performs minor maintenance and plant status. Job Summary The Operations Technician operates from established and well-known procedures under minimum supervision performing duties independently with only general direction given. The Operations Technician encounters recurring work situations of moderate complexity, with occasional variations from the norm. Decisions are made within prescribed operating and casualty procedures and guidelines. The Operations Technician must perform work in a safe manner resulting in no accidents, in compliance with all environmental permits at all times. Must effectively communicate information to supervision and fellow plant personnel, relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and provide suggestions for plant improvements. The Operations Technician must perform duties in such a way to result in an optimum cost-benefit ratio. All employees have the responsibility to both the customer and their co-workers to do the job right the first time and to ensure the customer's needs are being met. Job Functions Assist in start-up, shut-down and normal operations of power plant systems. Operate major auxiliary apparatus such as: air compressors; circulating water systems; boiler feedwater treatment system; water systems; boiler feedwater and condensate system; and locally controlled electrical and mechanical equipment. Perform operating tests and inspections and make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment assigned to achieve proper operating conditions. Must be able to obtain a Low Pressure Black Seal NJ Boiler Operator license within 6 months of employment. Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school. Minimum of two years of experience in Power Plant Operations desirable. Experience in water chemistry control, analysis of water conditions, water treatment facility operations and chemical handling requirements is required. Theoretical and practical knowledge of combustion/steam turbine operations, closed system steam generation, industrial safety, hazardous waste management and inspection/recording of plant parameters is highly desirable. Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process controls desirable. Extensive working knowledge of power plant industry desirable. Must successfully complete a plant operator's knowledge examination. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communications skills, and be proficient with the use of power and precision tools. Must be cooperative with those he/she contacts in this work and have the ability to work without direct supervision. Must know the hazards involved and the safety precautions to be practiced in the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment and machinery. Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures. Must be able to respond to audio alarms and variations of sound. Basic data entry/computer skills. Work as a team. The information is then logged in the Elevator Log Book. Monitor Building Automation Systems for proper operation and temperatures and report alarms to mechanic to make adjustments. Monitor Medical Gas systems and report alarms as they come in to the Supervisor. For nitrous oxide alarms, call vendor and set up tank pick up and delivery. If repairs to the Building Automation Systems are required all information must be logged on the Building and Problem Log sheet. If Building Automation problems continue and immediate response is needed contact the Supervisor for follow-up action. Monitor Translogic Pneumatic System. System must be checked at the start of each shift for alarms. If the system is clear of alarms purge system to clear lost carriers. When carrier repairs are needed or there is station trouble or transfer unit alarms occur, dispatch mechanic for repairs. Initiate a work order with coordinating equipment ID Clear alarms through diagnostics and put system up. Log alarms in Translogic log book. Monitor scheduled shutdowns as posted in the Control Room. Notify supervisor in the area of shutdown as to what type it is. Post equipment or fire system out of service due to shutdown on information board located in the Control Room. When each shift begins all radios and beepers are to be dispatched to mechanics with equipment log sheets. Log radio ID and battery ID on radio log sheet. Organize shift coverage paperwork for turnover and submit to Accounting and Systems for processing. All service calls to vendors for repairs are reported to the Control Room and logged in the log book whether a vendor is called for scheduled service or an emergency. The Supervisor decides the status for emergency service. Equipment is posted on the information board with reason for repairs needed. A work order is processed for any kind of service and an equipment ID number is recorded for history and information purposes. Notify the next shift control room operator of service calls.
