Primary Responsibilities: Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, plate ware and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. Assists in food preparation procedures. 1. Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine. 2. Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand and/or machine. 3. Completes all assigned prep work. 4. Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area. 5. Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors. 6. Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles. 7. Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine Qualification Standards: 1. Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves. 2. Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment. 3. Good personal hygiene required. 4. Works both indoors and outdoors. 5. Works frequently in a hot damp environment. 6. Must possess and/or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card prior to employment. 7. Must be at least 16 years of age. Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length. 2. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to managers and other staff members. 3. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate batch computer at various plants to produce concrete which meets Graniterock's exceptionally high quality standards. Responsible for continuous improvement of our batching performance as measured by SPC. Perform and document regularly scheduled plant maintenance and plant repairs, order and inventory materials. Operate loader, crane and forklift to load customer vehicles, work in the shop when needed. Perform all plant cleanup duties. Perform daily/monthly plant inspections. Identify, mitigate, and report safety concerns during shift. Assist in ensuring compliance with Cal-OSHA requirements. Responsible for Plant Environmental compliance. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent SKILLS: Excellent heavy duty repair mechanical skills. Possess the ability to weld and repair the various systems on all batch plants. Ability to display leadership and to identify and complete needed maintenance and improvements, working jointly with other team members with Safety above all else. Recordkeeping and computer skills for mix designs, ordering and inventorying parts. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to observe all Graniterock safe work practices and Graniterock policies and procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years plant mechanic maintenance and repair experience. Experience involving concrete, aggregate or asphalt plant operation, or working knowledge of Graniterock plant operation procedures. DESIRED QUILIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Heavy Duty Mechanic (HDR) experience, forklift and crane training or certification, welding certification, ACI certification; SPC coursework. SKILLS: Advanced understanding of computer batching controls, troubleshooting plant equipment and batch consoles; excellent mechanical skills EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 5 years experience as a concrete batch plant operator. DEFINITION Under general direction, the Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible to operate, monitor, and inspect the Water Treatment Plant and ancillary facilities. This classification is assigned to the Turlock City Employees Association bargaining unit for labor relations purposes and is subject to overtime assignments. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED General supervision is provided by the Water Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor and may receive technical direction from the Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator. Essential Functions - Include But Are Not Limited To The Following: * Operate all necessary water treatment plant equipment to deliver potable water to the customers including plant flow rate and chemical. * Compute chemical dosages and flow rates. * Operate pumps, valves, and other equipment manually and remotely. * Inspect, adjust, and operate equipment as required. * Conduct water treatment sampling and process analysis, including jar testing. * Maintain necessary reports and records. * Observe and enforce safety rules. * Under close supervision from Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator, control plant operations using SCADA. * Maintain proper chemical applications and storage. * Coordinate the delivery and receipt of plant chemicals and materials. * Maintain accurate records and prepare reports regarding plant operations and water quality. * Ensure that all analyzers and monitoring equipment are appropriately sending and storing accurate information via a cyber-secure SCADA system. * Monitor processes using a SCADA control system. * Participate in studies related to plant and filter rerating including operation of parallel pilot filters. * Participate in special projects or studies as assigned. * Assist with the preparation of technical and administrative reports, and other written documents, including the submittal of all regulatory required reports. * Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, Cities employees, outside agencies, and the public through clear and concise communication. * Subject to rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Process Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment in their assigned area of the facility, specifically within an activated carbon production plant utilizing carbonization and activation systems to turn agricultural waste (e.g. almond shells) into activated carbon. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including proper handling of carbonization gases, emissions control, and waste management. This position reports to a Lead Plant Operator and is located in San Diego, CA The Plant Operator is responsible for the direction of all day-to-day activities in a reciprocating engine landfill gas power generation facility.
