Specialist in Water Damage - Advanced is an expert in the drying and repair of residential buildings, large commercial, industrial and institutional buildings and their contents. They are local, regional and national resources of BELFOR. His competencies include electronics and machinery management, books and documents, as well as specialized drying. Delimit and dimension large losses and specify the systems of drying by heat and desiccant as appropriate. They have practical knowledge of the electrical demand of the drying equipment and the determination of temporary energy needs. They are proficient in the use of plans and floor plans and are familiar with the integration of heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) systems to enhance the drying systems. In CAT situations, advanced specialists can lead multiple teams and take on significant production responsibility. This position is level 4, the highest in the progressive route of Water Damage. Has experience with small drywall patching, carpentry and painting.
Responsibilities
Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
Review the daily requirements of projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges encountered.
Provide appropriate field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches for various TPA projects.
Using the acquired skills, draw sketches, read plans and floor plans, develop humidity content records, complete pyrometric records and determine the drying objectives.
Calculate the load (content) of humidity in a building, calculate the cubic meters of the affected parts of the building and request additional support in projects affected by large water losses.
Determine the electrical consumption of the drying equipment, the connection and operation of a 220/110 converter and the requirements of a temporary power source.
Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep these clean and in perfect conditions of use.
Attention to details.
The professional will be obliged to comply with the standards of BELFOR to safeguard the property of other people.
Must have a deep knowledge of customer service, as well as the principles and practices of this.
Ability to work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
You will be periodically requested to travel and work at night and during weekends.
You must inform in a timely and accurate manner about the time worked and the equipment and consumables used.
Attend the operations sponsored by BELFOR and the security training courses that are necessary.
Requirements
Supervise and self-perform Water Damage Basic and Intermediate tasks
Perform all tasks related to managing large loss sites or specialized remediation requirements
Create moisture maps using tools and knowledge provided
Supervise multiple crews simultaneously on multiple projects
Select appropriate disposal options and get release of liability for disposed items
Qualifications
Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
Carry current IICRC ASD designation
Must demonstrate mastery of BELFOR Water Damage Book
Must demonstrate proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
Demonstrate an understanding of air mover calculation, LGR dehumidification chart; electrical power spec and electrical circuits
Demonstrate mastery in the use of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter or equivalent and the recording of data Demonstrated experience and working understanding and proficiency of a building environment, thermodynamics, psychrometry, "Burping" a building, containment of HVAC supply and/or return air (CAT 3/Mold)
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

Supervision Received
Works under the oversight of the Water Plant Lead Operator and under the supervision of the Water Plant Supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Operates a Class A Water Treatment Plant including preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair of plant equipment. Operates and monitors motors, pumps, filtration, chemical dosing equipment and valves to ensure adequate supply and proper treatment of potable water to the district's customers. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State water quality regulations and permits.
Working with the Water Production and Distribution department, monitors water production to maintain adequate water levels in the storage tanks. Determines daily needs based on computer generated data, experience and daily and/or seasonal weather changes.
Adheres to the standard operating procedures and assists in the development of said procedures.
Verbally reports emergencies and malfunctions and emergencies to the Water Plant Lead Operator and/or Water Plant Supervisor and initiates proper action per procedures. Perform appropriate follow-up procedures.
Inspects equipment and makes recommendations to the Water Plant Supervisor regarding necessary repairs, maintenance, and calibration. Collaborates with the district's maintenance department on the upkeep and replacement of equipment. Makes recommendations on the replacement schedule or type of equipment.
Collects water samples, performs multiple laboratory tests, maintains accurate laboratory records, and notifies Water Plant Lead Operator and the Water Plant Supervisor when parameters are outside of established norms.

Records data required for regulatory purposes. Creates daily operational reports on all changes made to the treatment plant, well system, and distribution system.
Works independently and with the team to ensure all Federal, State and Local regulations are met.
Utilizes a variety of computer programs and databases during daily duties. Analyzes data and creates reports to aid in the evaluation of data and trends.

Supervision Received
Work under the direct supervision of the Wastewater and Collections Lead Operator, Wastewater & Collections Supervisor, and under the general supervision of the Wastewater and Collections Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Uses a SCADA computer system and manual controls to operate and monitor the advanced wastewater treatment (AWT), and the biological nutrient removal (BNR) process and adjusts chemicals and equipment, in accordance with regulatory permits.
Operates pumps, engines, generators, and valves to control processes at wastewater plants and lift stations. Inspects equipment and makes recommendations to the Wastewater and Collections Lead Operator regarding necessary repairs, maintenance and calibration.
Collects daily wastewater samples, performs multiple laboratory tests, maintains accurate laboratory records, and notifies Lead Operator when parameters are outside of established norms.
Adjusts and maintains chlorination system, chemical feed systems; and checks analyzers. Handles related chemicals for delivery and storage.
Records data required for regulatory and operational reporting on the physical changes made to plant. Data recorded includes: alarms, adjustments made, troubleshooting, equipment rotations, and instrument readings.
Inputs readings from process control tests plus chemical usages into database programs and prepares for reports such as, but not limited to, flow, production trends and chemical costs.
Calculates chemical orders based on technical expertise and standard operating procedures. Maintains adequate chemical and supply inventories.
Verbally reports emergency and major malfunctions to the Wastewater and Collections Lead operator and or the Wastewater & Collections Supervisor and initiates proper action per procedures. Performs appropriate follow-up procedures.
Works independently and with the team to ensure all Federal, State and Local regulations are met.
Attends technical and safety training meetings, courses and seminars as required.
Assists with District public relations by representing the District in the community or responding to telephone inquiries and complaints from the general public.
Routinely performs physical cleanup and housekeeping of work areas, equipment, and buildings using standard cleaning equipment and material, and chemical cleaning procedures.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Utility Operator safely and efficiently performs a variety of tasks and equipment operation to assist the needs of the facility.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitors water treatment through the SCADA system, this includes interpreting conditions that may require physical changes to be made to the system
Inspects water plants and pump stations, recording operational changes; backwashes filters and records data in a variety of logs
Performs and records routine laboratory analysis relating to process control, using proper sampling techniques, submits samples to laboratory for analysis
Calculates usage and handles chemicals to implement orders of supplies; may transport small amounts of chemicals to various treatment sites
Checks and records static water and pumping water levels on a monthly basis, tests and records sand content of well water, checks and records pump amperages, and cleans well water meters
Operates and performs maintenance on valves throughout system
Measures and records filter media levels, adding media as required
Drains and cleans reservoirs, backwashes recovery and other tanks as required
Responds to customer complaints and questions about water quality
Performs janitorial duties at all water plants and pump stations, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, etc.
Performs outside plant and pump station repair and maintenance, as assigned, may include mowing grass, cleaning, painting and trimming shrubbery
Attends safety seminars, meetings and departmental staff meetings
Performs regularly scheduled filter changes and lubrication on various pieces of equipment
May assist with repairing main breaks; assists other departments during crisis as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications:
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Water PlantOperator I:
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent; supplemented by additional course work and one (1) year of experience; or any equivalent combination. A State of Colorado Class D Water Operator License is preferred, but not required.
Water PlantOperator II:
An Associate's Degree; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience in water treatment; or any equivalent combination. State of Colorado Class C Water Operator License required.
Water PlantOperator III:
