Responsible for proper sample collection and related laboratory tests or process tests, reading of gauges & meters where necessary. Comply with all requirements to provide high quality wastewater treatment as established by the company and governmental regulatory and environmental agencies. Provide high quality service to our clients. The ability to learn and use computer programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Office, Teams. Must be available for work after business hours and during emergencies when needed. Physical capability to perform heavy manual labor in all types of weather. Must be reliable, responsible, organized, resourceful, and able to think and act promptly. Ability to cooperate/collaborate with other operators and laboratory personnel as needed. Strong problem solving and prioritizing skills. Ability to progress to higher levels of certification with increased level of responsibility upon successful completion. Perform work outside the control room in the production areas related to production services, product sampling, packaging, and materials handling, including proper handling of waste streams, including hazardous waste. Collect and submit appropriate samples for analysis, using analytical and/or process trends to determine whether re-sampling or process adjustments are needed. Monitor operating parameters by reading gauges, instruments, and meters; compare readings to known requirements, log information, and take action as necessary. Respond and react to any alarms within the operating area. Utilize job knowledge, equipment specification sheets, and operating procedures to monitor and adjust the process via DCS or manually Start up and shut down process equipment as needed using written procedures. Assist Maintenance, E&I, and Construction teams, including during shutdowns. Know the location of valves, pumps, piping, and all critical equipment.
