The purpose of this job is to receive, prepare and process shipments of crop input products for our customers as well as deliver these products to customers. The position of a Dry & Liquid Dispatch Operator is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the facility while also developing and supporting relationships with the location's customer base. Boiler Operator Reports to: Boiler Supervisor Department: Boiler Hours per shift: Employee works 8 hours per day with some overtime. Two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute lunch. Day shift: 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. - Swing shift: 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. - Graveyard: 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Some off shift or weekend work may be required for relief purposes. Different shifts will have different days off, and some may have rotating hours. Wage: Level 4 Position Purpose: Boiler operator will be responsible for safe operation of Boiler and related equipment. Also responsible to oversee Boiler Utility position, and perform repair, fire watch, and clean up duties as assigned. (6) Enter hourly Boiler log readings and necessary reports. When operating at low fire load (when Plywood is off line) Boiler Operator will most times be working alone. At these times Operator will handle fuel and clean fuel cells. Operator must check Boiler readouts at close intervals, (not more than every 15 minutes), and be alert for any alarms. Alarms are both audible and visual (flashing red light at Boiler front. Any alarm requires an instant response check of Boiler controls and readouts. Continuous watch for spot fires especially in rafters, call for help to watch for fires after a flare up. Make sure you understand company policy for fire watch Become familiar with facility layout. Always comply with Federal, State, and Company rules, policies, regulations and procedures. Non-Essential Functions These duties are secondary in nature and are not classified as ADA essential. RESPONSIBILITIES: Inventory and load the work vehicle with job site essentials Maintain clean organized vehicles and equipment Extract standing water, perform demolition, place equipment Leave job sites looking clean and orderly Communicate Clearly with coworkers and management Relay customer needs and concerns JOB REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license is required; Clean MVR (no moving violations) Must have a great attitude and willing to learn Because we provide 24 hour emergency services, must be willing to be on call occasionally Some night and weekend work is required Your own basic tools a plus....hammer, crow bar, etc (not required) Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
