Job Summary
Responsible for following manufacturing instructions to perform production and shipping related duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
What will you do?
Operates production equipment in a manner consistent with training and work instructions to ensure safety and the highest level of product quality.
Prepares mixing vessels, necessary pumps and hoses for unloading. Inspects all containers prior to filling for cleanliness and integrity.
Fills containers as prescribed in the associated batch ticket, pick ticket, and or export order sheet and prepares containers for shipment including labelling, palletizing and wrapping and completes work orders in JDE.
Maintains neat, thorough and correct completion of all batch related documentation. Calculates batch yields and responds appropriately.
Store and stage inventory in assigned areas for batch preparation, further processing and/or shipping.
Assist in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts, make inventory transfers in JDE.
Loads and unloads box trucks and flat-beds, tanker trucks and rail cars, either manually or using proper material handling equipment. Load containerized and bulk raw materials to production vessels.
Complete shipping responsibilities including; receive PO s in JDE, ship items in JDE, communicate late shipments to OTC group, Prepare UPS and FedEx shipments and call trucks for shipment.
Maintains a clean and organized work area and strictly adheres to all plant safety policies. Provides immediate containment, reporting and clean-up/recovery of spilled material or leaks.
Operates all types of Forklifts and other related motorized vehicles in a safe and proficient manner.
Holds team members accountable for safety and quality procedures. Routinely participate in site safety committee.
Assists in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.

Work Environment/EHS/Physical Demands:
Will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Ability to lift bags and other containers up to 50 pounds in a safe manner as directed. Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed. May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily. May be required to work in small spaces and high locations.

As a chemical operator you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production equipment inthe Cincinnati, OH plant. - Performing routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.

Water Plant Operator I Department: Water Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Chief Operator Civil Service Status: Classified (Non-Competitive) About the Position The City of Wilmington is seeking a dedicated and dependable Water Plant Operator I to join our team in ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of the community's drinking water. This position plays a key role in operating and maintaining the City's water treatment facility, monitoring system performance, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This position is a classified, non-competitive role as approved by the Civil Service Commission on September 16, 2025, classifying Water Operator I, II, III as non-competitive classified positions for both hiring and promotion. Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor water treatment plant systems and related equipment, including pumps, motors, and feeders.
Perform chemical treatment and laboratory analysis to ensure safe, high-quality water.
Monitor gauges, dials, and SCADA systems to regulate flow rates and chemical dosages.
Conduct inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate operational records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in plant maintenance and housekeeping.
Be available for emergency call-ins outside of regular working hours.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Ohio Driver's License and insurability under the City's insurance plan.
Ohio Class I Water Supply Operator License required
Must obtain Ohio Class II Water Supply Operator License within four (4) years of appointment.
Minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience in water plant operations or related work.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with water treatment operations, laboratory procedures, and SCADA systems.
Ability to respond effectively to operational issues and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
Exposure to chemicals, confined spaces, loud noise, and inclement weather.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities Works with a crew as a leader in the operation of a water treatment plant; responsible for processing water to make it stable, potable and in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensures that chemical feeding and mixing mechanisms are operating correctly, collects and analyzes water samples and reads and logs data from SCADA. Performs minor repairs and/or maintenance on pumps and related equipment. Minimum Qualifications Education Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.).
Experience Must have 12 months of actual hands-on experience in the specific operation and maintenance of Water Supply and Treatment or Wastewater Treatment equipment in one or more of the following area(s): daily plant operations, daily plant maintenance, plant laboratory work, sludge handling, military experience in potable water/wastewater treatment, troubleshooting plant operations, and/or industrial pre-treatment. Certifications AT TIME OF APPOINTMENT, must possess and maintain an Ohio EPA Water Supply I certification until an Ohio EPA Water Supply II certification is obtained.
Must meet the following requirements and maintain as a condition of continued employment:
Must obtain an interim Ohio EPA Laboratory Operational certification within 3 months of appointment.
Must pass the Ohio EPA Laboratory Operational certification survey within 12 months of appointment.
