The Boiler Plant Operator will ensure the site's boiler-heating systems are maintained and operating within industrial standards. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Experience and Training: Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: * Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible experience performing water production and treatment duties and/or water distribution system maintenance. * Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. License and Certificate: * Possession of a valid California Class C (or higher) driver's license or out of state equivalent. * Possession of a valid State of California Water Resources Control Board Grade T2 Water Treatment certificate. * Possession of a valid State of California Water Resources Control Board Grade D2 Distribution Operator certificate. * Possession of, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of appointment, a Cla-Val Maintenance certification or equivalent automated control valve maintenance course.
