PLANT 4 OPERATOR RESPONSIIBILITIES:
CIP all process equipment, silos and lines
Perform the startup and shutdown functions of process equipment.
Perform CIP and process connections.
Operate E4, E5 and E6 evaporators.
Operate skim separator processes.
Perform silo transfers and make connections for receiving milk.
Operate the cream HTST pasteurizers.
Perform evaporator and equipment inspections.
Identify, and correctly use chemicals as related to job.
Maintain a high level of communication with each plant/process as the job demands.
Keep accurate and legible records.
Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.
PLANT 4 OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL PURPOSE: Under close supervision, performs routine semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, repairs and operations of water production sites water distribution lines, wastewater treatment facilities or collections systems and lines.

* Samples/monitors water and wastewater using specialized equipment

* Operates wastewater treatment and sludge processing disposal equipment.
* Operates a variety of equipment including pumps, motors, chlorinators, meters, air compressors, blowers, valves and gates.
* Operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
* Performs semi-skilled and skilled construction, maintenance and manual labor; duties will vary according to job assignment.
* Collects and delivers water and wastewater samples to laboratory.
* Picks up and delivers materials as directed.
* Completes required daily documentation, logs and reports.
* Must be available for emergency on call rotation.
* Performs field tests for physical or chemical parameters

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent; and possession of a Water/Wastewater Operator I Certification from ADEQ or the ability to acquire within one year of hire; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
One (1) year of water/wastewater maintenance and operations experience preferred.

Knowledge of chemicals, treatment and hazards associated with HVAC water treatment
Ability to perform various mechanical and electrical repairs on HVAC equipment
Working knowledge of chilled water HVAC systems to include closed cool and thermal storage
Ability to organize and to prioritize workload; to work alone with minimal supervision; have initiative and be a self-starter
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to establish and to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
Ability to work overtime and to change schedules with minimal notice; willingness to work non-regular hours (weekends, night shift, swing shift, holidays)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work occurs across multiple school facilities (elementary, middle, high schools, administrative buildings).
Includes indoor (mechanical rooms, laboratories) and outdoor (treatment plants, pump stations, irrigation systems) environments.
Works with chemicals like chlorine, acids, or other water treatment agents
Must follow OSHA regulations, environmental health codes, and water quality standards set by local and federal agencies (e.g., EPA)
May require on-call duties, especially in emergencies (e.g., water main breaks or contamination)
May need to climb ladders or stairs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
Must lift and carry equipment, supplies, or tools (typically 25-50 pounds)

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Individual must batch products using computer or manual controls using proper mix and making necessary raw material adjustments and perform daily plant Maintenance, while providing excellent customer service to our internal as well as external customers.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Using computer or manual controls, efficiently batches aggregates with proper mix and making necessary raw material adjustments as directed by the QC department. Understands the proper use of each mix design.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day plant maintenance which includes: manual lifting, shoveling, lubrication of plant components and minor plant adjustments
+ Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
+ Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers.
+ Effectively communicates with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
+ Perform daily plant and equipment inspections
+ Able to prioritize work
+ Work with plant management to identify problems and potential problems that need to be addressed
+ Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures
+ Report any unsafe condition, accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately
+ Perform other duties as required/assigned
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies
+ Must have a valid driver's license
+ Ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision
+ Basic computer and basic mathematics skills
+ Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
+ Physical requirements:
+ Sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time
+ Climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed
+ Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions) and enclosed spaces
+ Work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions.
+ Must be willing to work overtime as needed
+ Bilingual communications skills are a plus.
