In Area 2000, operate pumps, regeneration columns, acid/caustic dilution stations and other equipment to perform chemical regenerations to convert, steam, rinse, hot rinse, backwash, and mix/package processed ion exchange resins to H+ and OH- ionic forms.

The PlantOperator I reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for sewage, FOG, sludge waste processing, and disposal equipment in the septic and wastewater processing plant to produce quality effluent water in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. This position is also responsible for reporting & clerical duties of the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Act as a plantoperator, responsible for total plantoperations.
* Responsible for monthly reporting and ordering of chemicals.
* Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
* Monitor control panels and adjusts the plantoperations as needed.
* Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets instruments, meter and gauge readings and test results to determine process control needs.
* Responsible for operating equipment associated with receiving, headworks, chemical addition, filtering, setting, and sludge processing, etc.
* Maintain plant log of all operations, events, and important parameters.
* Conduct routine laboratory tests: TSS, COD, pH, etc.
* Ensure that pumps, valves, boiler instruments, and other plant and wastewater treatment equipment are functioning properly.
* Monitor equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to write and interpret documents such as safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write and interpret routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors, regulatory agents, and employees of the organization.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as volumes, dosing rations, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, unit conversion, etc.
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
* Ability to complete standard wet lab tests like TSS, COD, pH, Conductivity, etc.
* If not already confined spaced certified, will need to become certified in confined space entry and forklift operation.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
* May have a valid and current Wastewater Treatment PlantOperator certification recognized by the state DEP, but not required.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and physical examination.
* Strong mechanical and process background with an understanding of pumps, valves, blowers, and hydraulics
* Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel)

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22.00 - $24.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

The PlantOperator 2 processes previous service gas cylinders in preparation for new gas production. The Technician operates various types of equipment within the cylinder preparation area in accordance with Airgas standard work procedures to properly empty previous contents and prepare gas cylinders. Responsible for safety, product quality, and productivity during the work shift. Sorts cylinders according to cylinder size and service, scrapes and paints cylinders, maintains organization in the cylinder yard, moves cylinders by forklift and handcart within the facility. Inspects and prepares high and low pressure cylinders for the filling process, performs required maintenance on cylinders. Load and unload common carrier trucks and Airgas shuttle trucks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Sort and evaluate incoming gas cylinders.
Move cylinders to designated processing areas.
Scrape labels from cylinders.
Paint and apply temperature coating to cylinders.
Perform visual Inspection of gas cylinders.
Install new cylinder valves in both low and high pressure cylinders.
Operate vacuum pumps, cylinder driers, cylinder bake out system, high pressure manifolds and associated equipment.
Maintain prepped cylinder inventory ready for production, allocates cylinders to customer orders.
Maintain the cylinder yard in a clean and orderly manner. Stores cylinders in designated locations by service, cylinder size and valve type.
Perform valve and cylinder inventory.
Qualify to operate forklift and perform forklift inspection
Loading compressed gas cylinders onto and off of cylinder pallets.
Operate caustic scrubber to dispose of toxic gases.
Load and unload common carrier trucks and Airgas shuttles.
Perform maintenance on cylinder prep equipment.
Keep a clean and orderly work area.
Support Management team with regard to maintenance of Health and Safety and ISO Quality programs.
Other duties as assigned.

to join our team on our clients account.
OVERVIEW
The successful candidate must have experience in Boiler plantoperations and maintenance.
Gas and Steam Turbines, Electrical installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and controls located in the interior and exterior of building.
Plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance of piping and associated equipment and components located in the interior and exterior of building are preferred.
Installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical/electrical operating equipment and machinery.
Regularly conducts a routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations.
Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to assure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.
Monitor the operation of all mechanical & electrical operating equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversee and monitor the operation and make adjustments of refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems and hot water systems; monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; turbines, boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; record readings and make adjustments where necessary to assure proper operation of equipment. Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
Performs preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment which includes but not limited to: assembling all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete the job, performing work with a minimum amount disruption, conducting immediate cleanup of work area, completing the preventive task sheet, returning tools to workshop, and unused supplies to store room, reporting any impending supply or material shortages to the Operations Manager or Lead Engineer of any equipment problems.
Install and repairs plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single phase motors; run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.; install pumps and motors; install air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment. Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical controls, switching and motor controls.
Monitors operation and maintains refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; recording readings as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions.
Maintains tools and orders supplies as required for installation and repairs. Keeps logs, documents equipment repairs, closes work orders, tracks time accurately in reports and provides timely and constant communication with the Operations Manager and Lead Engineer.
Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe work space.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or state equivalent
Minimum 2 years of related trade schooling or two years of college.
Skilled in use of tools and machinery required by the position. Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
NJ Red or Gold Seal Stationary License.
Electrical back round up to 480V, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Familiar with computer equipment and programs.
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports and have excellent customer service skills.
HVAC knowledge of Air handling units, a plus.
