What You'll Do
Operate the facility in accordance with company policies, operating procedures, and all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT and environmental regulations
Load and unload trucks and railcars safely and efficiently
Monitor, read and record process instrumentation and collect product samples to ensure quality standards are met

About the role.
McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Production Utility Operator position, to work a 12-hour day shift at the Burley, Idahoplant. Responsible for performing all equipment operator functions in the absence of regular operator(s). When operator functions are not required, incumbent is responsible for insuring all assigned factory equipment and work areas are continuously clean and sanitary.
What you'll be doing.
Understand the principles and techniques of the quality management process and integrate these techniques into every aspect of the job.
Understand GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and integrate these concepts into all aspects of the job
Incumbent will be required to perform as a relief operator in positions determined by supervision. These positions include, but are not limited to: Fryer Operator (Tot, Prime, or Par fried Hashbrowns) Peeler Operator, HB Attendant, Cutter Operator, Mixer Attendant, Dock Attendant, ADR Operator, Packaging Line Operator, IQF Systems Operator, Line flow Attendant, Shaker Room Attendant, Forklift Operator, and Palletizer Operator.
Sets up, operates and adjusts packaging line and case sealing equipment when required.
Disassembles and reassembles machinery for sanitation and change over purposes.
Performs preventative and minor maintenance on packaging and sealing equipment.
Monitors and maintains product line flow to insure consistent temperature and packaging of product
Insures inventory of palletized product is accurate by performing several physical counts per shift and verifying count to computer data.
Sets up and adjusts palletizing and stretch wrap equipment
What you'll need to be successful.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Compensation Package
: $ - $ Starting at 21.62 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts

What You'll Do

β Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to prevent failures or unsafe conditions.
β Contain, clean up, package and label hazardous waste following HAZWOPER, RCRA and DOT requirements.
β Perform routine inspections of vessels and equipment to ensure safe operation.
β Actively participate in plant safety programs, meetings, inspections and hazard reporting.
β Support emergency response activities and mitigation efforts.
