Responsible for the operation of the plant, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while following the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Training will be done on first shift, but once trained you will go to a 6pm-6am 3-2-2 shift. Duties & Responsibilities: Monitors and controls plant operations * Constantly reviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement. * Participates in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. * Maintains adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc., on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis, as required. Participates in quality assurance program * Communicates directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation in the implementation of QA policies and procedures. * Samples and tests process streams as required by the QA program and procedures. * Maintains QA records. * Understands and interprets QA results and takes appropriate action when required. Participates in plant maintenance program * Communicates directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. * Performs preventative maintenance activities as required. * Assists maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repairs. * Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues. Participates in safety, health and environmental programs * Knows and understands city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to process operations and works in a manner to ensure that these regulations are met at all times. * Works in a safe manner at all times. Job Description Processing Operators are responsible for meeting production throughput and quality goals, ensuring all product checks are performed and documentation is correct. They must be able to follow food safety Good Manufacturing Practices and procedures and personal safety procedures. Processing operators perform different jobs depending on skill and training level. Essential Functions and Related Responsibilities: Processing Operator 1 Entry level position generally responsible for removing cooked product from screens and packing into work in process (WIP) bins making sure not to mix products and properly labeling WIP bins. Ensure product is released by quality and can be removed from screens. Remove product from the screens and place into WIP bins. Notify department leader and/or quality of any noted issues with the product. Positions may be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Processing Operator 2 Next level position that may be assigned to several different tasks; Loading screens onto extrusion conveyor belt, taking screens with product on them off the extruder belt and placing into racks, or moving racks into the processing room and taking filled racks out of the processing room and placing into an oven. This is a 1st shift position with staggered start times working in the processing cold room. Processing Operator 3 Upgraded skill position that includes ability to setup, run, and disassemble the extruder in addition to tasks assigned in Processing Operator 2 and/or coarse chopping meat prior to mixing. We are hiring a Production Operator to support our ethanol plant operations, where safety, reliability, and continuous improvement are at the core of everything we do. This position works a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shifts every six weeks, and plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor the operation of the plant constantly to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Troubleshoot, anticipate and correct problems associated with plant operations. May need to inspect different areas of the plant to locate problems. Review the slurry and fermentation process to ensure accuracy and the highest quality of product. (Slurry Operator) Review the distillation and evaporation process to ensure accuracy and the highest quality of the product. Certification of the ethanol before it can be transported. (D&E Operator) Document and monitor process variables, sample data and routine tasks as required for position, to ensure plant operations are maintained within operating parameters.
