**Overview**

This position is primarily responsible for the operation of plant processing equipment at a quarry production operation.

**Responsibilities**

+ Using a computer or manual controls effectively operates primary or secondary crushing or other plant equipment in order to meet site production needs.

+ May run a front-end loader or other material handling equipment to charge the plant with aggregate, sand and other materials.

+ Maintains complete and accurate reporting of daily production

+ Identifies daily and long-term potential plant issues relative to production and production goals.

+ Maintains and controls minimum plant raw material inventories essential for manufacturing, production and delivery to meet production needs.

**Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

+ Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in Aggregates

Titan Virginia Ready Mix has an excellent opportunity for a **Plant Operator** for Titan Virginia Ready Mix based in Sterling, VA. This hourly position will report directly to the Plant Supervisor.

The Plant Operator works independently and is responsible for overseeing all ready mix concrete plant operations, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, quality, environmental compliance and supervision of plant employees. **Responsibilities:**

Based at our Lorton, Va location, we seek a dedicated individual who will monitor and maintain proper operation of the ash conditioning and removal systems.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and cleaning all systems related to ash removal and conditioning, i.e., magnets, non-ferrous recovery, belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, bag-house hoppers, and etc.as well as turning on and off motor control centers and breaker operations.

Specific responsibilities are ensuring proper operation of the ash mixing system, ferrous and non-ferrous recovery, assisting other operating personnel as necessary to support plant operations, and maintaining and monitoring of sump pumps, and the entire ash conveyor system.

Position Requirements:

A HS diploma /GED is required, in addition to the mechanical ability to perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and assist in the unloading of lime and chemicals.

Skill in the operation of mobile equipment i.e., skid steers, forklifts, and large front end loaders.

Welding experience would be a plus along with the ability to complete the necessary training to fill in as a Refuse Crane Operator and Auxiliary Operator as needed.

SUMMARY

* Knowledge of process instrumentation control concepts. Ability to interpret technical drawings for process equipment.

Purpose:

The Branch Warehouse/Clerical Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the branch warehouse and office. Daily work responsibilities will include the off-loading and loading of trailers and Commercial Motor Vehicles, handling waste containers of varying weights and sizes using HCC-approved material handling equipment, and maintaining the branch warehouse in a clean and organized condition. The BWC will also be performing clerical duties in support of the daily operations of the branch. This role may be required to use forklifts, powered pallet jack, hand jacks and dollies.

Specific Duties:

**More About the Role:**

+ Operates and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment (e.g. chillers, pumps, valves, cooling towers, boils, motors, exhaust fans, control systems, etc) in facility physical plant

+ Inspects, monitors, troubleshoots, tests, calibrates and documents plant operations and processes by reading plant equipment gauges, dials, graphs, meters, controls systems, and other instrumentation.

+ Performs inspections on mechanical and electrical systems and components (e.g. chillers, pumps, valves, cooling towers, boilers, piping, heating units, controls systems etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Cleans, lubricates, and repacks the working parts of the system.

+ Tracks performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of physical plant mechanical and electrical equipment.

+ Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections and produce reports in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning/inoperable equipment.

+ Performs day to day operations of variety building operations systems as needed including Tridium Niagara Open Framework controls system and other common closed framework controls system such as JCI, Metasys, etc.

+ Responds to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve issues. Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures of plant mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.

+ Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, chilled water distribution and other related HVAC equipment including control and monitoring systems.

+ Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment.

+ Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates.

+ Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations.

+ Performs system and subsystem diagnostics and scheduling and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls that are used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies.

+ Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts.

**You'll Bring These Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent and 8 years' experience in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.

+ Four years' experience working with Direct Digital Controls system is highly desired.

+ A valid Master HVAC license at a State level.

+ Certified to handle CFCs and other refrigerants.

+ Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc.
