This is a full time, onsite position working at our Bardstown Bottling facility and various barrel warehouses around Nelson County.
Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday - Friday
(Periodic Overtime on Saturday and Sunday required)
Pay Rate: $24.28/hour plus .20 shift differential
What the Role Is
The 2nd Shift Assistant Cistern Room Operator (ACRO) will be responsible for variety of manufacturing and general labor related tasks in our barrel warehouse facilities, as well as the Cistern Room.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
Barrel Warehouse responsibilities:
Responsible for lifting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering barrels from trailer to appropriate warehouse floor
Safely handling barrels of 500+ pounds, rolling them into and out of the warehouse
Loading, unloading and stacking cases, removing and replacing labels, dumping cases
Loading glass, crushing and bailing cardboard, and operating a hand and/or powered jack when necessary.
Assistant Cistern Room Operator responsibilities:
Unloads empty barrels for filling.
Maintains and operates Barrel unloader (clean & grease)
Assists Cistern Room Operator on maintaining the RFID applicator and stapler
Helps Cistern Room Operator maintain serial number printer.
Keeps work area clean, including outside around and underneath carousel unloading equipment
Replaces Cistern Room Operator (filling barrels) during absence or vacancy
Assumes the role of Working Foreperson in the absence of the Cistern Room Operator.
May be required to perform other tasks or be sent to the Warehouse as needed.
Who You Are…
High-school diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum 1 year of work related experience, working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Successful completion of required Bennett Mechanical testing
Highly motivated, energetic, and reliable
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Comfortable with highly physical roles.
Stable and consistent work history that demonstrates an excellent work ethic, excellent attendance.
Must pass background check, drug screen & physical

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to:
Stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, reach, push, pull and lift.
Walking/standing/climbing stairs up to 8 hours or more per day.
Safely hand load new and used empty barrels weighing approximately 100-115 pounds, two to three tiers high.
Load/unload, maneuver and operate barrel handling equipment.
Employee will be required to push, pull, roll and assist with heading up barrels weighing 500+ pounds.
This position will work inside and outside in the elements.
The position will require maneuvering any level (1st-7th) of the warehouse. Comfortability with heights is necessary.

Bullitt County Stone is developing a new underground limestone mine at our Shepherdsville, KY location and is seeking a Underground General Utility person. The mine development team is a project-based team tasked with creating essential infrastructure, including access declines, ventilation systems, and ground support, to ensure safe and efficient limestone extraction. Team members in this role are vital to reinforcing mine passages, installing infrastructure, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety and environmental standards.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
Perform bolting and meshing of the roof and ribs.
Perform duties to apply shotcrete to the roof and ribs of the mine
General mine labor in production areas, including installing conveyor and advancing ventilation duct, water line, electrical cable, etc.
Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including a dozer, roof bolter, front end loader, Haul Truck etc.
Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
Complete equipment pre-shift report - Conduct thorough Workplace Exam, to identify and correct hazards daily
Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
Ability to maintain safe working conditions
Must place a high priority on attendance
Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision

About you and this role- What you will do in this role
Operates assigned equipment or areas of the Plant. Performs and reports on operational related activities per the Operations Dashboard (OPD)-Tasks List. Utilizes discretionary time to enable sustainable performance results for the facility. Utilizes operations knowledge and experience, to proactively operate the plant in a safe, reliable and optimal manner. Works with Shift Team members to efficiently anticipate and resolve unplanned events within the capabilities of the shift team and effectively escalates issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate support roles.
