Job Summary
Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.
Operate one or more non CNC controlled production machines to include but not limited to lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, saws, tape cutters, etc. Second of four levels of skilled machinist work. Operates alternately more than one type of machine tool such as grinders, millers, drill presses, lathes, etc., on machining operations of moderate complexity. Projects have some diversity in scope and work order instructions. Many duties also involve manual work and/or assembly duties that require the use of various hand tools, paint accessories, drills etc.
Essential Job Functions
Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment:
Set-up and operate machines in multiple families of equipment that include but are not limited to saws, manual mills, lathes, presses, routers etc.
Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blue prints
Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices
Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency and productivity
Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures
Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department
Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Gain knowledge and thoroughly understand and operate systems associated with our 8.5-Megawatt Biomass Powerplant.
· Operate assigned control systems including distributed control, water, steam, combustion, turbine generator and related components, in a safe and efficient manner.
· Perform two written machinery rounds per 12-hour shift and report any anomalies that are found to the Plant Manager and / or Assistant.
· Conduct chemical testing of boiler water and associated auxiliaries. Obtain a chemical inventory once a week of our bulk chemicals and testing reagents (Day Shift).
· Operate loader on nights and weekends to feed fuel into the reclaimer of our Process / Raw Fuel Line.
· Dispose of Fly Ash & Bottom Ash in appropriate location with use of loader.
· Facilitate preventative maintenance work and safety checks on all equipment related to Boiler #2 and Boiler #3
· Understanding operating procedures and becoming proficient with operations in respect to bringing plant offline and back online.
· Ability to understand Fire Systems and Kiln Operations.
Assist with special projects as they are assigned
Qualifications and education requirements:
• Good judgement, innovative, resourceful, sense of initiative, and able to make sound decisions.
• Ability to provide clear oral and written communication as well as, effectively communicate and take directions from other plant personnel / supervisors.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with overtime and occasional call-ins.
• Active 3rd Class Stationary Steam Engineer License preferred.

What You'll Do
Assisting Senior Technicians: Work alongside experienced technicians to learn and perform installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various water treatment equipment such as water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and filtration systems.
Routine Maintenance and Service: Perform basic service tasks, including changing filters on RO systems and delivering salt to customer homes or businesses.
Water Quality Testing: Learn to collect and test water samples using test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Learn the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment used in the trade, including hand tools, power tools, and potentially basic plumbing tools for soldering or pipe fitting.

Concrete Laborer II-
The Commercial Concrete Laborer II plays a vital role in the construction and finishing of commercial concrete projects. This position is responsible for assisting with various tasks, including preparing job sites, setting up and dismantling concrete forms, pouring, and finishing concrete, and maintaining tools and equipment. The ideal candidate has experience in construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on the job site.
Essential Functions
Communicate and provide assistance to fellow employees.
Set up and dismantle concrete forms.
Assist in pouring and finishing concrete.
Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to complete work activities.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Clean tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas
Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures.
Perform routine safety inspections, act as a safety monitor, and perform onsite and remote safety training as needed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 12 months previous experience with concrete foundations, demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. An active OSHA 10 Certification is required, along with the physical capability to lift and lower objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and 80 pounds, on occasion. Candidates must possess reliable transportation, and the willingness to travel, including overnight stays when necessary. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred. A strong attendance record and satisfactory performance evaluations are essential for this role.
