During your 12-hour rotating shift as a Chemical Plant Operator, you will * Operate DCS and PLS systems, as well as environmental control systems (such as the pond, scrubber, or thermal oxidizer) * Read, record, and interpret data of different industrial equipment (reactors, tanks, pumps, etc.) and make corrective adjustments as required to keep efficient production on reaction trains. * Perform maintenance, i.e., purges, washes, dries, and recharges equipment as conducting visual inspection of operating equipment to current operating statusdetermine * Work from both verbal & written instructions of Shift Supervisor, standard procedures, batch sheet & loading sheets to operate reactors, as well as filling & loading systems * Participate in miscellaneous duties including painting, cleanouts, assistance to plant during outages, and maintain operating condition of key equipment Physical demands: The Chemical Plant Operator will have the ability to work for prolonged periods, on outdoor settings most of the time, while wearing proper PPE.
