This is a seasonal, full-time position. Season runs approximately April-Nov Key duties include: Responsible for assisting the overall daily operation of a hot-mix asphalt plant with computerized Systems equipment. Duties include plant set-up and tear down, receipt and shipment of raw materials and asphalt products, manufacturing asphalt products, lab testing, inspection and record keeping and maintenance of the equipment in the plant. Must be willing to meet and follow all safety and company policy/procedure requirements. A valid driver's license is necessary to drive company vehicles and equipment. Extensive summer travel SD/ND Wages: $32.25-$34.40 per hour plus $21.90 per hour fringe (covers Health insurance premiums, life insurance & Pension). PLUS $350 weekly per diem (to use for housing of choice, most employees own campers) Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Must possess at least two years of maintenance/repair at an asphalt plant. Previous experience operating as asphalt plant desired. Good mechanical repair skills, math skills and communication skills are necessary. Must have the ability to work in confined spaces. Skills in using computers for data entry and retrieval are needed.
