About the Role
We are seeking a Plant Operator to join a large-scale power generation facility in Queens, NY. In this essential position, you'll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor power plant systems and components during assigned shifts.
Perform plant rounds, collect data, and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operations.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance such as valve adjustments, oil changes, and filter replacements.
Apply and remove Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with safety standards.
Serve as fire watch and confined-space monitor when required.
Respond promptly to abnormal or emergency plant conditions.
Assist with start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of plant systems.
Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in power generation, process plant operations, or equivalent military experience.
Proven ability to start, operate, and shut down power plant equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, including familiarity with systems up to 345 kV.
Experience applying LOTO procedures and following strict plant safety and environmental protocols.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis to identify performance trends and improve reliability.

**During your 8-hour shift as a Plant Operator, you will**
+ Manufacture quality products following standard recipes and procedures under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and Operations Supervisor.
+ Support the loading and unloading of tank trucks and railcars, and box trailers.
+ Operate industrial equipment such as refrigeration units, pumps, filters, agitators, and overhead hoists using both field controls as well as automated systems and PLC's.
+ Operate powered mobile equipment such as fork trucks, pallet jacks, and yard tractors.
+ Support the Prill Tower operation, where molten surfactants are processed into a solid form and packaged.
**If you...**
+ Hold a HS Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of chemical manufacturing and processing experience
+ Are willing and able to work 8 hr shifts (rotating day/afternoon/night M-F, holidays and weekends on call as needed).
+ Can lift up an carry up to 50 lbs, working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
+ Are familiar with process equipment such as storage tanks, pumps, hoses, etc. and mobile equipment such as fork trucks, pallet jacks, and yard tractors.
+ Have previous experience with bulk containers (tank trucks, railcars, ISO containers)
+ Have previous experience using a yard tractor to shuttle trailers between docks and loading stations

Monitor and operate combined heat and power plant and chilled water systems and connected equipment controls. Respond to field emergencies as needed. Perform lock out tag out as directed. Ability to assist the Engineer in operating the plant either in the field or via the plant computerized control systems.
Qualifications
Required Education:

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform Treatment Plant O&M in accordance with prescribed requirements including discharge permit requirements.
* Perform instrument calibration/measurement/data recording for operating parameters.
* Collect process samples to be shipped for laboratory analysis.
* Perform routine maintenance items such as filter changeouts, carbon backwashing, carbon or other media changeouts, pump and motor servicing, and/or any other routine maintenance required.
* Respond to system call-outs as required within 4 hours to keep the treatment plants running continuously.
* Perform/oversee routine site maintenance including limited mowing and snow removal.
* Treat water generating from construction dewatering events.
* Perform troubleshooting activities. Assist with repairs and treatment plant upgrades or modifications.
* Prepare daily reports to be emailed to the Project Manager.
* Prepare monthly reports including discharge monitoring reports
* Oversee onsite activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
* Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
* Assist in generating Request for Information and Change Order documents, including labor and materials costs for necessary maintenance.
* Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status.
* Oversee subcontractors
* Familiarity/experience with operation/control of:
* Remote recovery wells
* Air Stripping
* Bag Filtration
* GAC filtration
* Advance oxidation process (AOP)
* Chemical handling.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
* Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
* OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER Training preferred.
* Basic mechanical skills to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and direct repairs on groundwater extraction and treatment system components.
* Basic skills with Microsoft Office suite and SCADA systems.
Other Requirements:
* Ability to work in the field on hazardous waste sites.
* Must be able to occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
* Must be a US citizen and can obtain security clearance/badges for access to secure military installations.
* Must possess valid US drivers license and good driving record.
* Position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment criminal record and driving background checks.

About the role
As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process.
Position Responsibilities:
Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, systems include, but are not exclusively limited to boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment
Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices
Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations
Monitor air pollution control equipment
Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required
Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as: cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts
Responsible to maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment, and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations
Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating heavy industrial equipment
Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
