Regulates rate of water flow to and from filters; puts filters into and out of line; washes filters; generally regulates machines adding chemicals to water under treatment. Maintains proper chemical dosages as indicated by chemical analysis and/or flow changes. Replenishes chemical Day tanks and supplies as needed; keeps Water Resources Operations Supervisor informed of need to reorder, or unusual usage of chemicals ("A" Operator). Monitors data acquisition screens and historical data, ability to interpret same. Records membrane conductivity, other chemical and pressure readings. Reads and changes a variety of charts, meters and keeps log sheets and prepares operating reports. Reports unusual events to the Water Resources Operations Supervisor. Maintains proper water pressure and water storage levels as required. Performs housekeeping duties in work areas or as assigned. Lays cable along existing raceways. + Locates cables, snakes through walls, ceilings. + Assists with splicing overhead or underground cables used in telecommunications systems. + Assists with prefabricated communication shelters by assisting with ISP / OSP cable entrance and overhead cable tray. + Measures, cuts, installs, and tests (according to standards identified in test plan) fiber and copper cables. + Validates that all components have been properly installed, secured, grounded, and tested. + Ensures work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition. + Performs work under the supervision and guidance of senior-level staff. + Supports accurate cable labeling. + Generate reports for Site Project Manager. + Creates organized files for reporting and recordkeeping. The Biosolids Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of biosolids drying equipment at a wastewater treatment facility. This role involves monitoring system performance, conducting routine maintenance, managing material inputs and outputs, and ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. * Operate and monitor biosolids drying systems (e.g., thermal dryers, belt dryers, drum dryers). * Adjust equipment controls to maintain optimal drying temperatures, feed rates, and output moisture content. * Perform routine inspections of equipment to detect malfunctions or potential issues. * Collect and record process data, including temperatures, pressures, and moisture levels. * Handle biosolids material safely during loading, drying, and storage operations. * Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area. * Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues. * Communicate with maintenance and supervisory staff regarding equipment status and repair needs. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures. * Participate in training and ongoing certification programs as required.
