Reporting to the Production Manager, Chemical Operator will be located at the company's headquarters and primary manufacturing location in Medina, OH location. This individual is responsible for assisting mixing/blending of materials, operation of process equipment, and related duties. They will maintain production records and ensure standard operating procedures are being followed. They will be required to comply with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting mixing/blending of materials, filling and labeling bulk containers, and operation of process equipment
Assisting in the unloading of rail cars and tank wagons
Operate a forklift to stage materials
Complete production reporting and quality control reporting in a timely and accurate manner
Maintains the cleanliness of the yard
Maintains the organization of the tote and drum storage area
Must follow all safety procedures and act in a safe manner at all times and have an understanding and awareness of chemicals and their nature, hazards, safety and health issues etc. (MSDS's, use of PPE etc.)

All employees appointed to the position of Treatment Operator 3 on or after January 1, 1997 shall be required to obtain a Class I Waste Water Treatment Certificate as issued by the Ohio EPA. Said employees shall be allowed a period of two years from the date of appointment or until the results of the last examination taken by the applicant within the two years are announced, whichever is longer, to qualify for the Class I Waste Water Treatment Certificate. The employee is required to take the test within the first year of being in the position.
Waste Water Treatment incentive pay shall be paid to employee(s) in this classification provided the employee possesses a Class I, II, or III Certificate as issued by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and is an employee of WRF.
