* Prepares and updates dormitory logs to reflect inmate movement.

Position Purpose:
The Operator II maintains water/wastewater treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in water/wastewater treatment facilities to meet permit and operational requirements.

About the role
The Utility Operator is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the ash handling and metal recovery equipment in the Residue Storage and Processing Building area. In this role, you will perform routine operations and inspections of the residue and metal recovery equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily operation of the bottom ash transfer conveyors, ash silos, fly ash transfer screws, pugmills, ferrous magnet, ECS conveyor and associated equipment.
Perform daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fill out daily log sheets.
Participate in boiler cleanings.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment related to ash removal and conditioning and an orderly clean work area.
Perform lockout and tag out of equipment in support of maintenance activities.
Complete scheduled assigned Operator Qualifications Standards.
Drive mobile equipment such as forklifts.
Qualifications:
GED/HS Diploma preferred
Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
Forklift driving experience a plus.
Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
Formal technical or apprentice training is desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees of the organization.
Shift Work
This position works on a rotating 12-hour shift including nights, weekends and some holidays. Overtime will be required.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Frequently exposed to high temperatures and outside weather conditions.
Working near moving machinery as well as noisy and dusty environments; must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) including a negative pressure respirator in accordance with OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.134.
Climbing ladders and structures; must be able to tolerate heights.
Frequently required to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.

Dual Licensed (Water and Wastewater) Operator
The Water/Wastewater Operatoroperates and maintains water treatment Facilities at one or more plants, processing, and testing equipment in a water treatment facility to purify water to meet permit and operational requirements. The Operator troubleshoots and diagnoses operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure and process knowledge. S/he monitors flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures and related controls through instrument panels and programmable logic control units in assigned area. Monitors and records operating conditions observations and data in area shift log. Ensures conformance to process specifications. Verifies and reports suspected malfunctions and variances to a supervisor. Performs routine and preventative maintenance and maintenance related items as assigned. Performs field laboratory tests (chemical and physical) in order to pace chemical dosages for efficient process control. Ensures that all safety and environmental requirements are consistently achieved including strict compliance.

About the role
The Control Room Operator leads and directs employees who, under the direction of the shift Supervisor, oversee and direct the operation of the facility. This position is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis. Will respond to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and execute plant shut-down and start-up procedures and ensure that the plant meets it's generating requirements while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.
Position Responsibilities:

Understands and trains other Operators on the operating principles of the power facility's systems, components and steam cycles.
Maintains required logs and calculations; observes these logs for indications of faulty operation; notifies supervisor of abnormal system conditions.
Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back PlantOperators to maintain a safe and efficient operation
Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations
Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID's, and schematic specifications
Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks
Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action
This position will be required to be in the field during outages.
Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Reworld's safety and operational goals
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the position
All Control Room Operators must have strong leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time.

Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
