Position Summary
We are hiring for a Plant Operator to work in our Renewable Power Plant. This position reports to a Lead Plant Operator and is located in San Diego, CA The Plant Operator is responsible for the direction of all day-to-day activities in a reciprocating engine landfill gas power generation facility. The goals of this position are to maximize production and minimize downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain large reciprocating gas engines (Caterpillar 3500 series gensets) and associated auxiliary equipment.
Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, service schedules and equipment outages.
Check all operating equipment daily including flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and unusual noises to correct conditions before failure occurs.
Perform all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment including oil and filter changes, replacement and repair of valves, blowers, compressors, and other plant equipment, as necessary. Participate in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant. Keep oil from accumulating on the unit skids, floors, and soil around the plant. Keep weeds and shrubs cleaned from the plant yard and perimeter fence. Keep equipment and floors looking as presentable as possible.
Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. Maintain plant inventory.
Respond to call outs in a timely manner. Identify and correct the cause of the call out. If the problem cannot be corrected or diagnosed, it is the responsibility of the operator to contact the area manager to get the help required to fix the situation.
Operate the plant with a clear focus on safety. Clean up spills immediately. Make sure all lighting systems are fully functional; no slip or trip hazards are consistently present; and no electrical or mechanical hazards go on for long periods of time without attention. Affirm that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors are following safe work practices.
Works with internal resources to resolve problems.

Packing
The Packing Area is responsible for preparing the completed order for customer delivery, which include the following:
* Review the "hit list" that the team lead prepares each day and responsible for packing all the orders on the daily "hit list" each day
* Gather the order ready to pack from Seed Room and order information card for each
* Verify information card with appropriate paperwork to ensure accuracy for packing
* Use specific equipment to prepare for packing in its appropriate containers that can range from boxes to pails.
* Use packing equipment that requires attention to detail in setting weights and measurements according to specifics of order
* Label each box with appropriate label that is specific to customer and product
* Prepare final order that will be delivered to customer by the Shipping Department
* Complete the process by reviewing all documentation for accuracy and closing the order with the production office.
Shipping and Receiving:
The S&R area is where the process for the production operation begins and ends. The S&R area is responsible for the following:
* Inbounding seed - seed received by Incotec from Customer
* Reviewed by the inbound team and ensure that paperwork matches by weighing seed received, maintaining a copy of the bag in which the seed was received for documentation purposes, completing a seed count, and maintaining a sample
* Inbounding this in SAP begins after the previous steps
* An RH will be taken to ensure the moisture is acceptable
* A handwritten SIR will be completed with all information
* Inventory seed received and place in sealed bags with proper order information documentation and placed in Seed Room ready for production processing
* After each order is closed out from the production office, and orders are scanned to customer service and the shipping team
* Use SAP to determine next steps, if the order is to wait for germ lab or ready to be delivered
* Once completed, pallets are wrapped and staged for delivery
* Make arrangements with UPS, FedEx or XPO for order delivery
* Collaborate and communicate with Customer Service Department to ensure customer needs and expectations are met
* Responsible for using SAP (technology) to document the process
* Responsible for domestic shipments and international shipments (each one has different requirements)

* Understand seedsmanship and be constantly aware of product and watchful for contamination possibilities. Alert supervisor of any problems with seed, coating, recovery etc.

The Environmental Services Department (ESD) manages the San Jose/Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. Built in 1956, the Facility is a round-the-clock operation that cleans an average of 110 million gallons of wastewater per day and has the capacity to clean up to 167 million gallons per day. The Facility serves eight cities with 1.4 million residents and a business sector with more than 17,000 main sewer connections.
Our wastewater undergoes a sophisticated 10.5-hour treatment process that simulates the way nature cleans water. The Facility removes 99 percent of the impurities before the cleaned water is discharged into the South San Francisco Bay or recycled for other uses such as industrial processes, cooling towers, and flushing toilets.
The Facility is the largest advanced wastewater treatment facility in the western United States. Advanced (tertiary) level treatment is necessary to meet our region's strict state regulations for the shallow waters and sensitive ecosystem of the southern Bay.
Under the direction of the Operations Superintendent, I/II, the Wastewater Operations Foreperson I/II (Foreperson) provides technical oversight of the process area(s), the Facility control room, the Operations training Unit, and/or serves as shift Foreperson overseeing all the wastewater facility operations.
In the process area: The Foreperson provides process control and supervision within their area of responsibility, serves as back-up for Operators, when necessary, prepares for and responds to emergencies, develops standard operating procedures and coordinates maintenance interaction.
In the computer room: The Foreperson monitors and controls the automated operations of the wastewater facility. Forepersons supervise operating personnel assigned to shift or process area and are responsible for ensuring the safety of staff, providing performance management and feedback, training, scheduling, assigning or work, and providing feedback and recommendation for hiring.
In the role of Shift Foreperson: The Forepersons participate in a plant wide rotation which requires them to take on roles of control room operator, shift Foreperson (Supervisor), and managing a process area or assist in operations training. Control Room and Shift Foreperson positions typically work 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment while process area positions work straight days.
In addition, all Forepersons participate in and provide subject matter expertise in capital projects, and interdepartmental collaborations.

Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment and associated well field and support equipment.
Perform and direct activities to ensure that codes, standards, and water treatment objectives are met while being environmentally conscious.
Operate and control motors, pumps, and valves for vapor and water treatment systems.
Collect water samples and coordinate laboratory analysis.
Self-perform periodic maintenance activities and manage subcontractors for specialized equipment service.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical process equipment for initial diagnoses.
Be an integral part of our safety culture, approaching all aspects of work with a safety-first attitude.
Maintain effective communication with project team members.
Plan and schedule work to meet required timelines.
Manage and maintain daily operations logs, inventory, site consumables and vendor service contracts
Available for occasional off-hour remote monitoring and call-ins to troubleshoot treatment system performance in the event of equipment failure or unforeseen shutdowns (including weekends).
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of low-pressure steam boilers, water treatment equipment, and control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills with critical thinking and mechanical/electrical systems

Must possess a valid driver's license
Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to job sites and the office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
OSHA 40-Hour Hazwoper
Experience with saturated steam and superheated steam

Job description RESPONSIBILITIES
The Service Technicians responsibilities include traveling to customers locations to access water filtration equipment and perform routine maintenance.
The Service Technician will install and test products and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage of the product.
To be successful as a Service Technician you should have excellent technical and mechanical skills and experience with basic hand, power and diagnostic tools, and you should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment.
Industry specific on-the-job training will be provided.
TASKS
Answer telephone inquiries and assist clients.
Install and test products, equipment, and machinery.
Provide instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product.
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate the available information.
Promote the companys services.
Technologically savvy. Maintain technical and mechanical skills.
Participate in meetings as scheduled.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work independently and diagnose and solve problems based on customers non-technical descriptions.
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Multi-lingual appreciated.
Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry. Associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
Experience in installation work and maintenance of RO systems and water filtration equipment.
Plumbing background required.
Able to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
