What You'll Do: Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Plant Operation. Load hot mix asphalt into haul trucks. Manufacture various asphalt products according to mix design and customer jobsite specifications. Operate plant equipment to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins. Control inventory of materials. Inspect Equipment, Structures, and Material. Perform daily inspections of the auxiliary equipment and document items in need of repair or service. Maintain stationary hot mix asphalt equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, shakers, drives, and screws. Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance. Monitor Processes and Materials. Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials and maintain certified products. Remove clogged materials when applicable. Document and Record Information. Assist plant management with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance. This is a skilled, full time non-exempt position under the direct supervision of the Water Treatment Plant Superintendent. Under general supervision, performs basic technical work in the operation and maintenance of the City's water treatment plant, and related equipment ensuring the efficient delivery of safe potable water. Monitors plant and distribution system using SCADA computer system. Performs laboratory analysis on water samples and prepares related records and logs. Under direct supervision, adjust chemical feed levels, pumps, valves, filters, etc. to maintain proper operations. Performs various other operations including filling hoppers with chemicals, backwashing filters, changing pumps, exercising valves, cleaning and repairing basins, etc. Inspects equipment, facilities and grounds for maintenance and safety needs; reports any issues that require corrective actions as necessary; exercises emergency generators and motors on a regular basis. Job Description: We are seeking a TRAINED and PROFESSIONAL Water Mitigation Technician with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in mitigation and restoration, computer skills, and preferably hold IICRC certification. This role involves working closely with customers, demonstrating honesty and integrity, and performing physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Responsibilities: * Point person and first responder for every emergency loss. * Establishes and records the scope of work to be accomplished. * Coordinates and supervises work on Emergency Water Services (to include extraction, developing drying plans, and providing project documentation). Document the claim using any or all of the industry standards software. * Coordinates and supervises work on Emergency Fire/Smoke Services (to include deodorization, pack-outs, board-ups, and securing structure). * Coordinates and supervises work on Mold Remediation (including demolition and cleaning). * Oversees Equipment Maintenance and expendables. * Communicates with Management & Customers. * Trains and supervises emergency services technicians and assistant technicians. * Maintains relationship with adjusters and communicates with updates as needed. * Performs on-call rotation and after-hours administrative intake as well as processing new claims as needed. * Completes jobs successfully and obtains certificate of completion. Complete demolition required by Supervisor after water mitigation has occurred in the home. Job would be done by a crew of demo specialist lead by their supervisor. Job Responsibilities Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives to work site. Multiple demo jobs per day would be done in residential homes. Completes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job Maintain cleanliness inside residence while performing demo. Build containments when needed prior to start of demo. Drive to local dump at the end of your day to dump all debris.
