**Propulsion Systems** is recruiting for a **Boiler Operator** to join its team at the **Bacchus (Magna), Utah** facility.
**Duties:**
- Responsible to monitor and operate day-to-day activities of several high-pressure steam boilers, hot water boilers, water pump stations, water towers, water storage tanks, plant water systems, plant compressed air systems, and building process / environmental monitoring.
- Performs daily logbook / check sheet entries, water/chemical samples of boilers, equipment status checks.
- Perform minor maintenance repairs including preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Performs Housekeeping and 5S at all facilities maintained and monitored by powerhouse personnel, including restrooms, vehicles, and surrounding areas.
**Basic Requirements:**
- High School diploma and 4 years of boiler operator work experience, or comparable equipment maintenance repair experience.
- Must be a self-starter, with basic math and reading skills and good verbal and written communication.
- Physically able to work in industrial environment, which includes climbing ladders and stairs, opening and closing valves, lifting-up to 50 lbs., able to tolerate hot and cold environments to include working outside.

- Knowledge and experience with high pressure steam boilers, hydronic systems, compressed air systems, water pumps and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Minimum of 12 months direct experience performing maintenance responsibilities including annual boiler tear downs and associated preventative maintenance tasks.
- Minimum of 12 months direct experience performing minor maintenance tasks such as minor leak repairs, sight glass replacements, filter replacements, auto condensate drain repairs/replacement and adding oil to air compressors.
- Ability to assisting other crafts with maintenance repairs.
- Completion of GCAP Boiler Level 1 Certifications, or equivalent within six months of hire date.
- Knowledge of industrial machines, mechanical / electronic devices, and basic computer skills.
- Strongly prefer post-high school education in a maintenance craft.

Control Room Operator
The Control Room Operator position will be responsible for all production, blending, loading, and unloading of all plant chemicals. Plantoperator will need to understand and operate all plant processes and procedures while keeping a safe and clean working environment.
Job Summary
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing chemical manufacturing processes using distributed control systems (DCS) and related automation platforms. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant plantoperations while coordinating closely with field operators, engineering, and maintenance teams. While the position is primarily based in the control room, regular hands-on involvement in plantoperations is expected, including time spent in process areas while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Candidates may qualify through prior control room/industrial operations experience or through a chemistry-based background with applicable process knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control chemical production processes using DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
Interpret process data, alarms, and trends to maintain stable and safe operations
Adjust process parameters to meet production, quality, and safety targets
Communicate with field operators to coordinate start-ups, shutdowns, and routine operations
Perform field rounds, equipment inspections, sampling, and operational tasks as needed
Respond to process upsets, alarms, and emergency situations according to plant procedures
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, PSM, etc.)
Complete accurate logs, reports, and shift handovers
Support troubleshooting efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in training, safety meetings, and process reviews
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
One of the following:
Previous experience as a Control Room Operator, Process Operator, or similar role in a chemical, petrochemical, refining, or manufacturing environment
OR
Associate or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field with strong understanding of chemical processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating DCS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa, Siemens)
Knowledge of chemical reaction processes, distillation, blending, or batch operations
Understanding of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures
Prior experience in a regulated environment (PSM, GMP, ISO, or similar)
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Operate and perform duties of Processing machines positions in Crackers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate forklift and complete utility driver cracker bin inventory duties. May also be trained to set up, adjust and operate processing machines such as mixer, laminator, oven, and scaler. Will rotate positions, give breaks, and operate as schedule requires; may be scheduled to cover Utility driver. Maintain area in good housekeeping order, complete required paperwork, and perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Participate as team member to accomplish training and cover schedules. Overtime and weekend work will be required. Support and participate in preventive maintenance program. Heavy lifting will be required. Comply with food safety procedures and follow plant GMPs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Must have obtained high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have forklift experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $22.65 plus shift differential.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. Exercises water valves, repairs and/or replaces.
Locates and verifies placement of all water valves.
Cleans out valve boxes.
Exercises valves by opening and closing them.
Repairs and/or replaces valve and/or valve box as needed.
Maintains necessary records for maintenance management.
Exercises, flushes, repairs and/or replaces fire hydrants.
Unscrews all nozzles, greases the threads, and replaces caps.
Exercises gate valves by opening and closing them.
Unscrews caps to allow water to flush freely from the fire hydrant.
Repairs and /or replaces hydrants as needed.
Maintains necessary records for maintenance management.
Repair and/or replace water service lines, water mains and water meters.

Installs, chlorinates, and tests (pressure and coliform) water line or oversees the completion of the process.
Installs new service lines and/or water meters, as needed.
Pulls water samples in accordance with State requirements and submits them to the approved testing lab.
Backfills trench according to City specifications and places lines in service.
Inspects water system cross-connections.
Meets with business owners to determine where and how water is used.
Notifies owners of corrections and/or backflow devices required.
Tests city-owned backflow assemblies and repairs and/or replaces, as needed.
Reviews backflow test results and notifies supervisor of concerns.
Oversees functions of wells and county connections.
Cleans tanks and reservoirs.
Tests water sources monthly.
Monitors businesses for possible discharge of hazardous materials into the water supply.
Monitors well sources and county connections to determine adequate water production.
Performs acid treatments on wells.
Obtains necessary permits and plans.
Mixes and injects many different chemicals used to clean potable water wells.
Extracts and neutralizes chemicals after cleaning.
Sanitizes well after cleaning.
Pulls water samples per State requirements and submits them to the approved testing lab.
Obtains an operating permit before using the well.
Rotates on-call status for response to water system problems and scheduled well checks as assigned.
Any water department personnel may be assigned to assist with reading meters, if necessary.
