Job Summary:
Ability to perform all duties in qualified areas of a Chemical Operator I when assigned. Responsible for following manufacturing instructions to perform production and shipping related duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
3rd Shift: Pay Rate $20.81
What will you do?
Operates production equipment in a manner consistent with training and work instructions to ensure safety and the highest level of product quality.
Prepares mixing vessels, necessary pumps and hoses for unloading. Inspects all containers prior to filling for cleanliness and integrity.
Operates process control systems including PLC s, mass flow meters, pumps and scales.
Fills containers as prescribed in the associated batch ticket, pick ticket, and or export order sheet and prepares containers for shipment including labelling, palletizing and wrapping and completes work orders in JDE.
Maintains neat, thorough and correct completion of all batch related documentation. Calculates batch yields and responds appropriately.
Store and stage inventory in assigned areas for batch preparation, further processing and/or shipping.
Assist in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts, make inventory transfers in JDE.
Loads and unloads box trucks and flat-beds, tanker trucks and rail cars, either manually or using proper material handling equipment. Load containerized and bulk raw materials to production vessels.
Complete shipping responsibilities including; receive PO s in JDE, ship items in JDE, communicate late shipments to OTC group, Prepare UPS and FedEx shipments and call trucks for shipment.
Maintains a clean and organized work area and strictly adheres to all plant safety policies. Provides immediate containment, reporting and clean-up/recovery of spilled material or leaks.
Operates all types of Forklifts and other related motorized vehicles in a safe and proficient manner.
Holds team members accountable for safety and quality procedures. Routinely participate in site safety committee.
Assists in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.

Work Environment/EHS/Physical Demands:
Ability to lift bags and other containers up to 50 pounds in a safe manner as directed. Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed. May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily. May be required to work in small spaces and high locations.

The Plant Operator will:
Loads and unloads gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks and trailers moving cylinders with proper carts only.
Sorts empty cylinders by type.
Rolls cylinders and operates a forklift truck for the movement of cylinders on pallets.
Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Accurately labels cylinders.
Handles high-pressure, medical and liquid cylinders. Prepares high pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attaches to manifold, evacuates cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants.
Performs basic cylinder maintenance such as painting cylinders, labeling cylinders, and cleaning of work area.
Inspects cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards. Conducts a variety of Safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves. Fills cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards.
Checks for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and/or assists with inventory
Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.
Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.

Overview

Essential Responsibilities
Maintains professional appearance
Brings carts from the cart barn in the morning and returns carts to the cart barn at the end of the day
Cleans and checks carts after each use and restocks as required

Ensures the carts are available for player use at all times
Works closely with Golf Services Manager to prepare and conduct golf tournaments

Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts including, belts, hoses, seals, lubricants, sensing devices, gauges, etc. as may be related to their trade in a designated storage area within the powerhouse
Troubleshoot and correct problems related to the proper monitoring, control and operation of powerhouse equipment
Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring that the area is left in an unobstructed and safe condition following the completion of the job

Resource role where shifts will vary based on need. Hours include: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Under limited supervision, operates, maintains, and repairs major power plant and/or auxiliary equipment such as boilers, chillers, programmable controls, pumps, condensers, generators, air compressors and refrigeration equipment for all Hospital buildings. Programs and monitors equipment controls and makes necessary adjustments. Monitors all building utilities as well as providing ongoing sampling of boilers and maintaining appropriate steam pressure to operate the building. This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor. Under moderate direction responsible for the safe, efficient operation of high and low pressure boilers and related auxiliaries, various mechanical equipment including air handlers, pumps, compressors and comfort control equipment.
Essential Functions
* Maintains constant surveillance of power plant equipment in operation by observing programmable controls and energy management system. Takes water samples, tests and takes immediate action.
* Operates the computerized energy management computer (BAS). Maintains emergency generators for the Hospital. Troubleshoots and repairs problems as necessary.
* Programs and monitors boiler controls for proper operation.
* Maintains pressures, proper water levels and anticipates variation in steam load.
* Maintains daily written records and logs of various phases of boiler operation and activities of particular shift to which assigned.
* Records and monitors daily natural gas and water usage.
* Monitors incoming utility information, such as incoming city water pressure, electrical power and natural gas.
* Maintains and operates electric centrifugal and steam absorption chilled water systems.
* Maintains and provides preventive maintenance on building equipment as required.
* Maintains working knowledge of Hospital, state and other appropriate regulations and standards related to boiler operations and safety.
* Performs annual maintenance on boilers and associated equipment, including boiler teardown preparation for inspections.
* Makes regular inspection rounds, identifies and takes appropriate action with regard to any suspected or identified malfunctioning equipment or breach of security.
* Regularly maintains equipment, shuts boiler down on predetermined schedule, starts the system when necessary.
* Makes various control adjustments as needed throughout the Hospital as required.
* Responds to emergency maintenance calls during off shifts/hours as required.
* Responsible for maintaining all critical power plant systems in peak operating condition.
* Responsible for resolving technical equipment issues as they occur.
* Must be eligible for overtime status. Is able to work reasonable extended hours to accomplish priority repairs and to fill in for disaster, vacation or illness coverage.
* Maintain all power plant equipment according to standards. Complete all monthly preventive maintenance procedures as required according to the work order system. Communicate all equipment problems to the Engineering office in a timely manor. Responsible for ordering all necessary parts to repair equipment.
* Utilizes CMMS to complete and document work assignments.
Range of Pay
* Between $30.61 and $36.84 per hour, based on experience.
Qualifications
Required
* High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational/trade school or associate degree program.
* Minimum of four years of working experience as a Boiler/Power Plant Operator in a multi-building facility.
* A demonstrated strong technical knowledge and the ability to recognize equipment failure, malfunctioning equipment and take immediate action to remedy the situation.
* 3 years documented experience in powerhouse operations.

Position Summary:

The development of the Water Damage Specialist at the intermediate level has four (4) objectives: 1) to act as head of the water damage team that deals with residential losses and small commercial losses; 2) knowledge and technical competence in IICRC's standard work practices on water and mold damage; 3) competence in the use, care and maintenance of water extraction equipment, portable drying equipment and moisture detection instruments; and 4) ability to determine the extent, dimension and distribution of moisture, and to document water losses. Intermediaries provide assistance in the development of basic level technicians and assist advanced technicians in complex or large-scale projects. Intermediaries in CAT service can simultaneously manage multiple losses for water, including the organization and management of temporary workers. To qualify for this position, you must have 12 months of previous experience in the Basic Level of Water Damage in BELFOR or equivalent standard experience in the sector, as well as having directly participated in (at least) 25 water damage projects. This position represents level 3 in the progressive itinerary of Water Damage.

Requirements
Supervise and self-perform Water Damage Basic tasks
Gather pictures to download to job files
Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks related to Debris removal; Containment/Drying Chambers; Wall Cavity Drying; Pump System Knowledge; Carpet seam cutting -- cushion removal; Baseboard Removal
Properly identify Class 4 material, moisture measurements, and deploy most effective technique to dry/restore the material
Evaluate integrity of affected structural materials and contents for direct and indirect water damage; accurately assess the cost of restoring vs cost of replacement.
Create moisture maps using tools and knowledge provided
Supervise small crews on above tasks

Qualifications
Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
Carry current IICRC WRT designation
Must demonstrate familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book
Must demonstrate proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
Demonstrate ability to draw a sketch, read floor plan, complete a Moisture Content Log, complete a Pychrometric Log and determine drying goals
Demonstrate an understanding of air mover calculation, LGR dehumidification chart; electrical power spec and electrical circuits
Demonstrate mastery in the use of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter or equivalent and the recording of data
Experience with Truck mount extraction systems, maintenance and troubleshooting
Demonstrated experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people) on Residential/Commercial and Industrial losses
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
English language literacy and fluency

Purpose
The technician is responsible for directing and performing all the operational and maintenance objectives of the water treatment plant in the most efficient method while ensuring environmental compliance. Maintain a constant supply of treated cooling water to the Harrison, Gambrinus, and Faircrest steel plants. Ensure that all effluent discharge to the public waterways comply with Metallus and Environmental Protection Agency's regulations. The technician is responsible for assisting management, engineers, and contractors' installation, testing, and commissioning of capital projects and continuous improvement projects. Required to work overtime, rotating shifts / schedules, or weekends as per business needs.
Responsibilities
* Safety & Environmental - Maintain a safe and environmentally correct workplace by enforcing the company and plant safety and environmental rules and policies, ensuring that associates are wearing the required personal protective equipment at all times, providing prompt and clear communications, providing training as needed and required, performing regular workplace audits, and involving all employees. Will be the first responder to all environmental incidents and contacting the required personnel in a timely manner while filling out the appropriate reports. Will also perform investigations for safety incidents and near-miss incidents.
* Execution - Investigate, diagnose, test, calibrate, and assist with the installation, repairs and/or preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems throughout the water treatment plant to ensure optimal asset utilization, productivity, efficiency, and reliability. Provide specialized knowledge, skills, and tools to restore equipment to operation and make educated decisions to maintain the process integrity. Assist maintainers, operators, engineers, and contractors to correct malfunctions, enhance performance, and promote continuous improvement. Interface with suppliers and original equipment manufacturers to properly select equipment and quickly rectify problems. Evaluate and coordinate major technical projects that require in-depth knowledge of established plant procedures, practices, and processes. Review and revise operational standards annually. Lead and manage capital projects, consult with engineering staff and contractors, plan and coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of capital equipment. Plan, coordinate, and manage the annual power outage day event. Compile and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Review influent and effluent discharge rates, chemical usage, suspended and dissolved solids, and other pertinent key performance indicators on a weekly basis to ensure proper operation of the water treatment plant. Coordinate operator vacation schedules and coverage, review hourly time and attendance, review operator training module annually, and ensure all operator training is completed on-time. Develop, design, and coordinate complex process experiments while working closely with corporate and plant level environmental analysts.
* Communications - Develop a working relationship with corporate and plant environmental, water treatment plant operators, and management. Communication may relate to breakdowns, strategic projects, or environmental compliance issues. Communication is also key with outside vendors for the successful execution of work, feedback for on time delivery, and quality of workmanship. Effective and accurate communication of environmental compliance issues are critical to maintain a good relationship with the agencies and protect the Metallus reputation.
* Normal work schedule would be days Monday through Friday, but there would be occasional need for working off shift hours and weekends. Technician would be responsible for taking after hours calls from operators.

Boiler Operators will generally be responsible for operating and performing routine maintenance and repair on all equipment within the powerhouse except for new installations, mechanical and electrical. Boiler Operators will operate and maintain steam boilers or hot water generators and associated equipment, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, fans. Boiler Operators will also perform all other work related to their trade as may be required on utility assets equipment as directed by the supervisor or their designee (shift engineer).
The Boiler Operators duties will include but not be limited to:
* The safe operation and routine maintenance on all powerhouse utilities production equipment and related systems including steam boilers, hot water generators, compressors, cooling towers, water treatment equipment and other support systems and ancillary equipment
* Operating powerhouse equipment to meet the day-to-day energy demands of the Stellantis manufacturing facility including the production of steam and compressed air at the quantities and specifications required by the manufacturing facility
* The monitoring of operating parameters and recording operating data, including production rates, fuel usage, electrical usage, pressures, temperatures, vibration indications, alarms and other pertinent information related to the safe operation of the powerhouse equipment
* Required to promptly notify the USM or designee (shift engineer) of any unusual, abnormal or potentially unsafe operating conditions and to take action to mitigate any potentially unsafe condition or condition that if otherwise not corrected could result in out of specification energy

* The operation of all cooling towers and heat exchangers that support the operation of equipment within the powerhouse
* The operation and routine maintenance associated with water treatment equipment for boilers, cooling towers, weld water systems and hot and cold water closed loops including the routine monitoring of water quality, the addition of water treatment chemicals to ensure the required water quality and the performance of routine maintenance of water treatment equipment including changing filters, adding salt to softeners, etc.
* The de-energization (lock-out/tag-out) of all equipment within the powerhouse that is required to allow the safe performance of maintenance on such equipment
* Perform routine maintenance on all powerhouse equipment, including predictive, preventive, and minor corrective maintenance
* Assist contractors with work that is beyond the capability of the Boiler Operator, including tasks such as protective device calibration, etc.
* Record and document all maintenance activities that are performed on powerhouse equipment including, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to electronically document information and historical data
* Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts including, belts, hoses, seals, lubricants, sensing devices, gauges, etc. as may be related to their trade in a designated storage area within the powerhouse
* Troubleshoot and correct problems related to the proper monitoring, control and operation of powerhouse equipment
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring that the area is left in an unobstructed and safe condition following the completion of the job
* Perform work and conduct activities as directed by the supervisor or designee (shift engineer) within their assigned area that pertains to energy conservation, including the repair of leaks, the timely turndown of lighting and other machinery, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
* 4 years of combined experience and training in central energy plant operations, including at least 4 years of operating centralized steam and compressed air systems of comparable sizes to those at the plant in question
* High Pressure Boiler Operator License
