What You'll Do: Greet visitors and employees professionally at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence while monitoring access to the location. Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures. Monitor access control systems and visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry or activity. Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate. Communicate important information to building management, Allied Universal supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed. Assist with deliveries, packages, and inquiries at the front desk, maintaining a helpful and professional demeanor. Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel. Follow all client-specific and Allied Universal protocols related to security-related procedures and emergency response activities. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
