The group moved into the plastics field in 1971 with the founding of Plastek, also in Erie.
When his partners wanted to retire in 1983, Mr.
So successful has the program been that Prischak replicated it at the University of Bratislava, in the Slovak Republic in 1991.
Prischak has stewarded the growth and development of Plastek, taking it from a handful of workers to over 2000 employees.
In 2002, Prischak opened the Lake Erie Speedway south of North East.
Prischak created Africa 6000 International in 2007 to provide safe drinking water to people in Africa.
In August 2015, The Plastek Group, completed the acquisition of IPQ, adding an additional manufacturing operation in Queretaro, Mexico.
In 2016, Prischak was the recipient of the Commitment to Erie Legacy Award by the Erie Times-News.
