Kevin J. Sauder is President/CEO of Sauder Woodworking Co., an 85 year old family business, which is North America’s fifth largest residential furniture manufacturer. Sauder ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture is distributed primarily through large discount chains, e-commerce retailers, office superstores, and furniture stores. Sauder is also a major contract supplier to IKEA. Most of the Sauder products are manufactured in Archbold, OH, with some complementary items imported from Asia. Subsidiaries include Sauder Manufacturing, which produces contract furniture for the worship, university, and health care markets, and Progressive Furniture, Inc., an importer of wood case goods. With these subsidiaries, annual Sauder corporate revenues are over $600 million. Following the completion of his Bachelors degree from Miami (Ohio) University and MBA degree from Duke University, Kevin joined Northern Telecom in business systems and marketing in Raleigh, NC. Three years later, he returned to Sauder as Marketing and Sales Director for the newly formed Office Products Division. Kevin served Sauder Woodworking as Vice President of Marketing and Sales, President, and President/CEO. Kevin has received the Advertising Age Marketing 100 Leaders Award, the IHFRA Pillar of Industry Award, and the Northwest Ohio Twenty-Under-Forty Leadership Award. Kevin serves on the Parent Board of Trustees of ProMedica Health System, Toledo, OH, and as its finance committee chair. Kevin is a Director and Board Vice President at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank (FMAO) and is immediate past president of the Archbold Rotary Club. He has served as the Chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance.
