Primary Function
Fabricate parts by cutting, bending, and gluing custom and standard stock items. Clean, package, and label items for shipping. Maintain a safe & clean work environment.
Prepare materials for fabrication - Cut sheets to size and stage materials for production, sand and debur edges, remove material masking
Use tools including electric saws, sanders, drills, benders, pneumatic tools, and hand tools
Become proficient at bending and gluing plastic parts through training and experience.
Follow verbal and written instructions to complete and process fabricated plastic parts.
Use basic math and measurements to identify material thickness, and part dimensions.
Apply computer skills to track orders, maintain inventory levels, and print drawings and labels. Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs.

Experience in using standard equipment and tools
Experience in bonding, bending, and assembly of acrylic & plastic components
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and responsible Battery Materials Inventory Engineer to manage the intake, inspection, identification, and inventorying of incoming battery materials at our facility. This role requires a foundational understanding of battery component types (e.g., cathode powder, anode, foil, film, scrap), along with warehouse operations experience. The ideal candidate will ensure materials are properly labeled, tracked, and stored to support our Technology and Quality Team, while maintaining high standards for traceability and cleanliness. This quality role will partner with Technology and Operations functions in the organization to ensure that our processes:

This role serves as the champion for defining and promoting a quality mindset across the organization, aligning customer needs with company goals, measuring performance using data-driven insights to drive improvement, and implementing best practices and quality standards that support our winning aspiration to be the most complete battery solution partner in the world.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect incoming battery materials to verify type and condition (cathode powder, anode, foil, film, scrap, etc.)
Accurately identify, label, and classify materials upon arrival
Maintain real-time tracking using inventory software and barcode systems
Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive materials to prevent contamination or degradation
Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move and organize materials in warehouse and staging areas
Document discrepancies or damages and coordinate with the Technology and Quality Team for resolution
Communicate clearly with engineers, scientists, and quality control staff to ensure material traceability and usability
Support periodic inventory audits and cycle counts
Adhere to all safety protocols, handling guidelines, and material labeling standards
Maintain clean, organized workspaces in accordance with 5S or lean warehouse practices
Execute with the Quality Team's “culture of quality” including:
Quality Management (Performance Focus)
Quality Assurance and Planning (Process Focus)

Monitor and adhere to quality standards that are most critical for governing how Cirba Solutions does business. Such standards may include, but are not limited to:

Develop and support the policies and reporting systems for handling customer complaints and non-conforming product.

Collaborate with the organization in the standardization of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues and drive continual improvement.
Work collaboratively to influence decisions beyond department lines.
Exhibit sound judgment and escalate problems quickly for resolution.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in engineering role, warehouse, materials handling, or manufacturing environment (battery or chemical industry preferred)
Familiarity with battery materials or industrial chemicals strongly preferred
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage precise labeling and categorization
Demonstrated safety track record
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
Experience with inventory tracking software (ERP or warehouse management system)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a salary-based, performance-driven role
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
Perform sampling as needed on inbound/outbound battery materials
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or plant experience
Basic understanding of battery chemistry or materials science
Prior work in cleanroom or controlled environment
Experience supporting R&D, pilot production, or quality control
Strong documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organization, comfortable working independently, and strong attention to detail
