Seasoner Machine Operators - Fort Worth, TX

$17/hr

Night Shift - 7pm - 7am with $1.00 Shift Differential

Seasoners must possess strong organizational skills, leadership skills and the ability to interact with both management and co-workers. As a seasoner, job duties include, but are not limited to the set up and operation of industrial food equipment, following precise recipes and work procedures, monitoring and adjusting processing variables and performing product quality tests and data collection. Seasoners must also be able to react to direction from quality assurance and management personnel. Seasoners will be exposed to allergens, chemicals and extreme environmental temperatures. They will be expected to multi-task and prioritize throughout the day. Job duties also include use of hand tools.

• Food Manufacturing Experience - Candidates with previous Food Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

• Physical Demands - The team member is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The team member must regularly lift and /or move up to 85+ pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 85+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Team Members must be able to be on their feet for twelve (12+) hours, to keep up with a fast, repetitious pace and to do repetitious lifting.

Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Safety Regulations consistently.Maintains seasoner with correct seasoning at appropriate levels.Identifies seasoning equipment problems and corrects problems.Assembles and disassembles seasoning line equipment correctly.Handles line clean-ups and changeovers.Performs chemical, Kosher, and allergen cleaning.Performs seasoner set-up duties.Completes documentation for monitoring the seasoning process.Performs minor adjustments and maintenance on all equipment.Retrieves correct and adequate supplies from the warehouse to sufficiently stock lines.Assists R&D in testing of new seasoning and conducting trials.Operates case erectors. Performs all sanitation of scales and drums.Calibrates load cells for accurate seasoning application.Ensures product is within QA specifications and makes adjustments if necessary.May perform seasoning checks on finished product.Performs verification on level sensors using calibration tools.Performs verification on no-seasoning laser sensor.Assists with scale calibration.Utilizes operator interface panels to perform seasoning drop tests, adjust seasoning settings and operate equipment.Performs troubleshooting and corrective actions for seasoning issues.Communicates with Packaging Lead and Quality Assurance regarding pertinent issues, other positions regarding training and information, with Maintenance concerning equipment problems, and with the warehouse concerning supplies.May perform other duties as required.

Knowledgeable of GMP's, SOP's, and Safety Regulations.Basic operation of seasoning equipment.Knowledgeable of Kettle Foods seasoning quality standards.Effective interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels within the company.Effective math skills.Basic analytical skills to troubleshoot and problem solve.Ability to become Lock-out/Tag-out certified within three months of employment.Ability to operate a pallet jack to maneuver pallets of seasoning.Ability to work in a safe manner in a production environment with safety hazards.Ability to tolerate a high temperature, high humidity and loud noise production environment.Ability to work in environment with high levels of seasoning dust and fumes and moving machinery.Understand programmable logic controller computer adjustments.Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team to accomplish company goals.
