1967 - On January 18, the Boards of the two hospitals sign an agreement to merge and create a single, strong Medical Center.
1972 - On May 15, the lights are turned off at Champlain Valley Hospital for the final time and 95 patients transfer to the newly built addition on Beekman Street.
1974 – Meadowbrook Nursing Home opened
1987 – Our First Expansion
1990 - The FitzPatrick Cancer Center and other new services open.
1995 – Meadowbrook’s name changes to Meadowbrook Healthcare
1996 – Subacute Services Open Began with 8 private rooms Over the next 5 years the need for Subacute Services increases and Meadowbrook responds to the community need by dedicating an entire unit to Subacute Rehabilitative Care.
1997 - A new Emergency Department and a Health Plaza, which includes a Diagnostic Center and the Henry K. Freedman Renal Center, open.
1999 - A new Ambulatory Surgery Center opened in June at the CVPH Health Plaza and the first baby is born July 6 at the new Alice T. Miner Women & Children's Center.
2003 - Construction adds a new 14-bed intensive care unit and expanded cafeteria.
2005 - A new satellite office for physical and occupational therapy and Valcour Imaging, a venture between Associates in Radiology of Plattsburgh, P.C. and CVPH open at 16 Degrandpre Way adjacent to the CVPH Health Plaza.
2008 - New Surgery Addition opens with 9 operating suites, new front entrance, lobby and patient registration.
2014 – Fletcher Allen Partners becomes The University of Vermont Health Network, a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in northern New York and Vermont.
2016 – Our Second Expansion opened in early November.
