Fondly called as "MGPL", he has 36 years of working in a premier Software and Services company, right after completing Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science in 1982. He Joined as a trainee programmer in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(TCS) , climbing up the roles and responsibilities all the way and became Vice President and later in the role of Chief Scientist in Systems Engineering. In the early years, he led software delivery for TCS from India to a Telecom Major in US/Canada. Took up the business development and marketing for TCS during Dotcom era ('97-2000) working from Silicon Valley,USA. Established several academic relationships with North American Universities (CMU, UCR, UWM,..) for research collaborations. Resurrected Systems Engineering Center in TCS in Hyderabad giving the R&D focus to address the needs of Business/IT consulting, competence development, software quality and business value articulations. Published several research papers in international forums and patented several intellectual assets too. Some of the filed ones which were granted patents are in the areas of Cybernetics Search, Requirement Elicitation and Risk Management. His latest work is on realising "Trusted Business Adviser" (TBA), a concept that he has defined and nurtured. Member of several Professional bodies including IEEE, ACM, INCOSE, ASC and IETE, Glogift.On professional front he is an active volunteer at local, national and international levels with professional bodies such as IEEE, INCOSE and PMI. His latest contribution working with the IT industry in India through the PMI's Excellence Enable Forum (EEF) is a framework with all key dimensions to address the key challenge of "Executing projects in a Complex and Dynamic world with changing business needs", more so in the current age of digital transformation.Acknowledging his work over the years, TCS has felicitated him for being the key leader in Services Research space.
