Pleasant Valley Baptist Church company history timeline
On August 9, 1958 Pleasant Valley added an educational wing onto the north side of the building and a vestibule onto the front of the building.
Frank Bufford and Kathleen came the first time in 1960-69.
In 1971, the entire educational wing was remodeled.
During 1976, Pleasant Valley embarked upon another building project.
In 1983 the Director of Missions for the Greater Rochester Baptist Association had a vision for a new church start in Livingston County.
In the fall of 1984 they found an abandoned church in Cuylerville and asked if they could rent the church from the owner.
In 1987, they purchased land on Lakeville Road, also known as Rt.20A, in Geneseo.
A big new church sign was placed by the intersection of Highway 63 and Hatchie Coon Road during 1988.
In the summer of 1988, with the help of several churches from Georgia, the present building of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church was built.
Our last service was held in the old Sanctuary on April 5, 2009 with our former pastor, Bro.
Beth Thurmon joined the Leadership Team in November 2020 and has over 20 years of administrative assistant experience.
She joined the PVBC team in June 2021 and has been doing ministry along side her husband for 15 years.
